Richest Mogul

Chapter 1666

Before Carmen could finish her sentence, her face paled at Skylar's next words.

"I'm not sure what you're implying. If you're involved in illegal activities or being falsely accused, you should speak to the police or your streaming platform. Talking to me won't change anything," Skylar said flatly, her expression unyielding. To Skylar, their apology was as convincing as crocodile tears. If they hadn't broken the rules in the first place, they wouldn't have exposed themselves to this backlash.

This time, Joe had taken action, but Skylar believed it was their arrogance and disregard for others' rights that had led to such severe consequences.

"If it weren't for you, how could we be so defenseless now? We've admitted our mistake. Isn't that enough?"

Carmen couldn't hold it anymore. Her pride was unable to bear the humility forced upon her. She had grown accustomed to arrogance, and this sudden shift was unbearable.

Sigmund was startled, and by the time he tried to cover Carmen's mouth, it was already too late.

"Please, Mrs. Martin, don't hold this against us. She's just saying things out of frustration. We just need your help to get through this. Please help us! Just this once!" Sigmund pleaded, pushing Carmen aside and desperately explaining.

Carmen stumbled from the shove, falling to the floor. Melanie rushed to her aid, but Sigmund paid no attention. His focus was solely on salvaging the situation, frustration etched across his face. They should have researched who they were dealing with before causing trouble.

Elvira winced at the unfolding drama, visibly uncomfortable with the rising tension.

Skylar glanced at her watch and then turned to Elvira. "I have a lot of work to do. If there's nothing else, I'll be leaving now."

She had said all she needed to.

Forgiveness was out of the question, and she had no intention of helping them outof their predicament. they continued to make trouble, it would be up to Elvira to handle it even if it meant involving the authorities.

It was clear that Elvira wanted to that help Carmen and Sigmund, possibly due to her long-standing friendship with Carmen's aunt. Despite the numerous complaints about Nadia, Elvira had refrained fromnoveldrama

intervening.

As Skylar moved to leave, Sigmund stepped forward in a panic.

"Wait, Mrs. Martin! Don't go! Let's talk. Whatever terms you set, I'll agree to them. If I have to kneel, I will. But you can't just walk away!" His voice was thick with desperation. Skylar's cold gaze swept over him. "Are you sure you want to stop me?"

Sigmund froze, his outstretched arm slowly lowering.

But Carmen, having completely lost her composure, stepped forward and blocked Skylar's path.

"You're bullying us. This is too much!

ve

I don't care what it takes-if you won't help us, I won't let you leave!" Carmen's voice was shrill with rage. "Mrs. Martin, I know who you are. Do you think money makes you untouchable? Do you think you can push people to the brink without consequences?"

In just a few sentences, Carmen cast herself as the victim, conveniently ignoring her history of bullying and threats when she held the upper hand. Skylar's expression darkened.

Melanie jumped at the sudden outburst, while Elvira frowned and immediately dialed a number on her phone. "Captain Delgado, bring your team here."

The kindergarten had security guards on staff, but Elvira seemed unwilling to escalate the situation unnecessarily-though she was prepared to if Carmen continued.
