Kole had heard Eileen’s words just before the car door slammed shut. He noted how eager she was to marry into their family, which made him wonder why Chana had hesitated. Eileen must have some shortcomings; otherwise, she wouldn’t be willing to marry Chana’s mentally impaired son.

Chana hesitated for a moment before explaining, “Benicio’s face has never been shown to the public, except for that photo of him after the car accident. I’m worried that if I let Eileen meet him without any preparations, it could cause trouble for us.”

“Well… I have an idea. I’m not sure if you’ll agree, but hear me out,” Kole said as he slowed the car. He began relaying his plan.

Eileen’s happiness was short-lived, as just half a day later, she received a message from the Brown family informing her that Benicio would be having a meal with her tomorrow. They had already booked a private room in a five-star restaurant and emphasized that Benicio liked the establishment. Clearly, the Brown family valued him greatly.

Eileen collapsed onto the sofa with a sigh, beginning to doubt her plan. Regardless of what had caused Benicio’s condition, she couldn’t bring herself to bully him.

“I have a meeting at the VQ Group tomorrow,” Bryan suddenly said. “I’ll drive you back to the city.”

Not once had he volunteered his opinion on the situation, yet he was generously offering to take her to the meal with Benicio.

Eileen knew that Bryan was still mad.

“All right, thank you!” Eileen replied.

Early the next morning, Bryan carried the still-sleeping Eileen into the car and drove straight to the city.

By eleven o’clock, they were at the designated hotel. Bryan parked the car and reached over to open the door for Eileen.

“I’ll stay here. Call me if anything happens,” he said to Eileen.

Eileen unfastened her seatbelt and leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. Then, she got out of the car and strode into the entrance of the restaurant without a backward glance.

She was certain that the Brown family had eyes on her since her arrival. She needed to live up to her notoriety and act like she didn’t take Bryan seriously at all.
