Chapter 787
If Wilson hadn't dodged quickly and managed to restrain her leg, that kick would have destroyed him.
Under the golden mask, his handsome face darkened. His eyes were filled with even more intense murderous intent.
A grown man with legs so thin-it was honestly disgusting.
With an expression of disgust in his mesmerizing eyes, Wilson twisted the fool's leg, producing a sharp crack.
Yvette winced, her face paling slightly as she bit back the intense pain from her twisted leg. She threw a punch at the man's chest.
The man took a step back, his eyes full of hostility, blocking her punch just in time.
Like a shadow, Yvette launched herself at him again, reaching for the gun that had fallen to the ground. Just as her hand was about to touch the gun, the man kicked it away.
Damn it, if she didn't finish off this dumbass today, she couldn't call herself a Murray!
Her fury ignited completely, and her attacks became even fiercer, each move aiming to be fatal.
Wilson matched her blow for blow, neither one gaining the upper hand.
Until...
Yvette's pale fingertips grasped a gleaming silver needle, aiming to pierce the man's main artery, while at the same moment, his gun was pointed at her forehead.
The air was deathly still, thick with tension and a sense of imminent violence. Both of them had a hold on each other's life, neither daring to make the first move.
"If you surrender now, the Shadow Alliance can leave your body intact." The man's voice was icy as it reached her ears.
Yvette scoffed. Her stunningly beautiful fox-like eyes glinted coldly, her tone nonchalant yet carrying a palpable arrogance. "If you kneel and beg, I'll leave your body whole, too!"
The man's voice grew even colder, sending a chill down the spine. "Such an ignorant fool!"
Yvette suddenly attacked, aiming a punch at his eye, catching him off guard, and knocking the golden mask off his face.
"You're asking for it!" Wilson's gaze turned dangerously sharp as he aimed his gun at her head, ready to pull the trigger.
"The one who's going to die today is you!"
Yvette thrust the silver needle in her hand towards his main artery. Just as it was about to pierce him, her movements froze as she saw his face beneath the mask, her eyes widening in disbelief.
"Wilson?"
In her shock, Yvette forgot to use her disguised voice, speaking in her true voice instead.
That was definitely Yvette's voice!noveldrama
Wilson's eyes narrowed sharply, his strikingly handsome face showing a rare flash
of disbelief. His hand trembled as he held the gun.
"Yvie?"
Why was Yvette here? Damn!
Yvette snapped out of her shock and
tightly clenched her jaw. She
reluctantly pulled back the silver needle poised at his artery, though her anger remained intense.
She'd been in a frenzy, ready to kill, only to find out the dumb boss of the Shadow Alliance she'd wanted dead was her own fiancé!
She'd never felt this humiliated in her life!
Thinking about how she'd almost permanently destroy him with that kick, Wilson's emotions turned deeply complicated.
"You're really something, huh? Go on, shoot if you have the guts!" Seeing the gun still pointed at her head, Yvette grew angrier, her tone mocking.
"Yvie..."
Meeting her gaze, Wilson's hand shook, gripped by a feeling of dread he'd never known before.
Thank goodness he hadn't accidentally pulled the trigger and hurt Yvette. He'd never have forgiven himself.
"Don't touch me!" When she saw him discard the gun and reach out to
hold her, Yvette pushed him
her red lips pressed tight anday
beautiful face rigid with anger.
"Yvie, I'm sorry..."
Yvette had no interest in hearing him out. With an icy expression, she turned to walk back to the car.
Noticing her limping, Wilson felt a sharp pang in his heart. He was the one who had broken her leg...
"Yvie, let me check your leg. When we get back, you can punish me however you like, I swear!"
He'd certainly used too much force...
Realizing he'd been the one to hurt her, Wilson's handsome face filled with regret and guilt. A piercing pain throbbed in his chest, overwhelming him with self-reproach.
"There's no need." Her face still cold, Yvette found a large rock to sit on. With a decisive twist, she realigned the broken bone herself.
It worked, but the pain was immense, enough to make grown men scream in agony. Yet Yvette only went paler, not making a sound.
"Yvie..."
Wilson felt an ache in his heart. He was filled with remorse and self-blame. Kneeling on one knee, his large hands gently touched her leg, massaging it carefully.
"This is all my fault. I never meant to hurt you!"
If he'd known she was Yvette, he'd never have done this to her!
Just then, Samuel arrived with a large group of Shadow Alliance guards, only to
be stunned by the scene before them.
What were they witnessing?
Wilson, kneeling on one knee, massaging the leg of the one who had just
destroyed their arms factory and casino?
There must have been something wrong with their eyes!
What do you think?
