The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 167 Comfort Alexander

Liliana quickly told the driver to pull over.

As soon as Allison got out of the car, she started throwing up.

Liliana, worried, was about to call for help when someone suddenly appeared next to her.

Alexander picked up Allison without a second thought, not caring about the vomit on her.

Allison, surprised to see Alexander, asked, "What are you doing here?"

Alexander didn't answer, his face serious as he carried her away.

Liliana watched as Allison got into Alexander's car and sighed.

Back at home, Allison needed to change clothes, and Alexander followed her, making her uncomfortable.noveldrama

"Can you leave? I need to change," she said.

"How are you going to manage without me?" Alexander replied.

Allison frowned, feeling resistant. Even though they were engaged, such closeness was still hard for her to accept.

"So, if I need to take a bath, you're going to help with that too?" Allison asked. In response, Alexander scooped her up and carried her into the bathroom.

Allison was shocked. "What are you doing? There are boundaries!"

Alexander, initially angry, couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. "So what? We're engaged, set to spend our lives together. You conspired with the detention center without telling me. What do you take me for?"

Allison realized Alexander was genuinely upset, though she found his anger somewhat misplaced. "I could handle it myself."

"Are you serious? You even got strangled!" Alexander was furious, looking at the marks on her neck.

Allison looked at him sincerely. "I did it on purpose. It was the only way to get him to talk."

"Allison!" Alexander shouted, making Allison flinch.

"Alexander, are you going to hit me?" she asked, startled.

Alexander rolled his eyes at her and walked away, leaving Allison confused.

Soon, Felicity arrived to help Allison bathe and change. Felicity smiled at Allison. "Ms. Bennett, you really got Mr. Carter riled up. I've never seen him so angry."

Allison chuckled, glancing at the door. "Where did he go?"

"To the study. Looks like someone's in for a hard time," Felicity replied.

Allison nodded, then made her way downstairs with her arm in a sling to make

Alexander a cup of coffee. She brought it to the study. With her hands full, she had to kick the door a few times.

Inside, Alexander was in the middle of a heated video conference. "You can't even handle such a simple proposal? James, tell the planning department that if they don't fix it within two hours, they're all fired!"

Just as he finished, he heard the door being kicked.

Who dared to kick his door?

Furious, he stormed over and opened it, only to find Allison standing there.

Allison, startled by the sudden opening, almost spilled the coffee.

But seeing Alexander, she smiled. "I heard you were busy, so I made you a cup of coffee. Want some?"

Leaning against the doorframe, Alexander smirked. "You don't think a cup of coffee will make me forgive you, do you?"

Allison raised an eyebrow. What more did he want?

Alexander thought Allison should really make an effort to appease him. After all, he had been worried sick.

Unfortunately, Allison seemed oblivious to his thoughts.

"Maybe not, but it's worth a shot! How about a double espresso?" Allison teased.

Alexander thought she might give him a heart attack one day!

However, seeing Allison with her arm in a sling, holding the coffee, he softened. He took the cup and led her into the study.

"Now that you've taken my coffee, you can't be mad anymore, got it?" Allison said, making Alexander chuckle.

"Allison, don't you think you owe me an explanation?" Alexander asked, wrapping his arm around her waist.

Allison leaned into him. "How about a kiss?"

Alexander was taken aback when he heard the sound of a kiss. Allison had planted a loud one on his cheek.

The executives in the video conference were stunned. Was this something they should be hearing? However, they didn't dare disconnect, fearing Alexander's wrath if he returned.

"Allison, do you think I was born yesterday?" Alexander asked.

"No, yesterday was your second birthday! But seriously, I know I messed up. Next time, I'll let you know in advance, okay? Now, go back to work. I'll go keep Liliana and Jessa company," Allison said with a sweet smile.

Alexander, who had been seething, was now completely calmed by Allison. When he returned to the video conference, he was even smiling.

The executives, bracing for more anger, were surprised when Alexander said, "That's it for today's meeting. Get the proposal ready as soon as possible. We'll discuss the rest tomorrow."

As the video call ended, the executives breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed Alexander's fiancée was their lucky charm. They decided they should definitely stay on her good

side.

Alexander went downstairs to find Allison, who was in the kitchen helping Liliana make pastries.

Despite only having one usable hand, Allison managed to shape a flower, earning Liliana's praise.

"Well done, Allison. It's beautiful!" Liliana said, delighted to see Allison joining in.

Alexander smiled and went to the living room, just as Aiden arrived, looking quite happy.

"What happened to put you in such a good mood?" Alexander asked.

"Teddy is coming back. I need to make some arrangements and set up some dates for him while he's here," Aiden replied.
