Chapter 191 The Unreliable Dwight
Teddy was fuming, but the room was buzzing with laughter.
After breakfast, Allison spent about half an hour with Teddy in the study. When they came out, he was a lot calmer.
As they were about to head out, Alexander offered to drive them.
Allison shook her head, "I'm spending the day with Dwight. You should go to work. Dwight might want to see you tonight, though..."
"I'll handle tonight. You go on," Alexander said.
Alexander then turned his gaze to Teddy. The soft look he had for Allison vanished, replaced by a steely glare. "You, take care of Allison. If anything happens to her, I will kill you."
Teddy scoffed, pulled Allison into his sports car, and sped off, quickly disappearing from view.noveldrama
"Mr. Carter, there's a bit of an issue with Ms. Lewis wanting to get into Stellar University," James said as he settled into the car, handing over the documents to Alexander.
He had just submitted the paperwork when someone from the Lewis family called him.
"The Lewis family made it clear that if Ms. Lewis is to be admitted to Stellar University, she can't use her real name. They also expressed their gratitude to Ms. Bennett and added an extra condition," James reported.
James hesitated, glancing at Alexander through the rearview mirror.
"What condition?" Alexander asked.
"They want Mr. Jones barred from entering the country. He must never set foot in Novaria again," James replied.
Alexander paused, then laughed. "I thought it was something serious. Tell them he will be restricted from entering Novaria permanently."
Felix was a playboy, and Sabrina was innocent. If they ended up together, it would be Felix's luck. Unfortunately, things that came too easily were rarely cherished. James went to negotiate with the Lewis family. To express their gratitude, they proposed a business collaboration with the Carter Group. Alexander couldn't believe his luck; without Allison, he would never have had such an opportunity.
"Ms. Bennett really brings you good fortune," James remarked sincerely.
Alexander smiled, satisfied. "We'll proceed with the deal only after Allison reviews it. If she approves, we move forward."
"Mr. Carter, someone is interested in buying Serenity Manor, the property Ms. Bennett is renovating. He contacted the Carter Group for a quote," James noted.
Alexander raised an eyebrow at James. "Do you really need to ask me about this?"
"I turned him down, but he insisted. He is a Bishop and that he's willing to pay any price, no negotiations," James replied.
This was intriguing. Alexander's expression darkened. A Bishop? How coincidental.
Meanwhile, Allison was unaware of these developments. In Stellar University's grand banquet hall, an academic symposium was taking place. Representatives from prestigious universities worldwide were attending, all eager to hear Dwight, a leading expert on space stations.
Teddy was the keynote speaker. The hall was packed, with many standing at the back just to listen to Dwight's lecture.
When Allison and Teddy arrived, they saw Dwight surrounded by people.
"Mr. Sullivan, we're here!" Allison called out.
Dwight's previously annoyed expression brightened, and he grabbed Allison enthusiastically. "How long has it been since you last contacted me? Have you been out having fun and forgotten about me?"
Dwight's voice was loud and full of energy, drawing surprised looks from those around them. The stern, aloof professor they knew was suddenly so animated?

Allison glanced around, smiling wryly. "I had some family matters to deal with, but I'm back now."
Dwight huffed, giving the people around him a disdainful look. "You all wanted to meet my student. Here she is, Allison! And that's my assistant, Teddy. Teddy is the speaker today. If you have questions, ask him and leave me alone!"
With that, Dwight led Allison to the front row of VIP seats. As soon as they sat down, he turned to her eagerly. "Allison, do you really have a boyfriend?"
Allison's face stiffened. She glanced back at the rows of VIPs and university officials behind them. Discussing personal matters in front of so many people was mortifying. Seeing Allison's evasive gaze, Dwight pressed on, "Why are you looking back there? I'm talking to you!"
Allison could only reply, "We're having an engagement party this weekend. Would you like to come?"
"Of course, I'll be there. I want to see who managed to win you over!" Dwight snorted. Allison wanted to disappear under her seat. With so many eyes on her, she was sure everyone would know her by the end of the day.
Thankfully, the symposium began. Teddy took the stage.
Dwight snorted in disdain. "He dressed like a movie star, but his dating game is more like a B-movie!"
Allison wondered if it was too late to leave.
The symposium was grueling for Allison. She felt every pair of eyes on her, making her sweat. When it finally ended, she was drenched in cold sweat.
"Mr. Sullivan, how about dinner tonight?" Allison suggested, trying to appease him.

Allison was at her wit's end. Dwight seemed determined to embarrass her today.
"Fine, if you don't want dinner, I'll just leave. I shouldn't have come if I knew you'd be like this," Allison said.
As she turned to leave, Dwight grabbed her arm. "Don't give me that attitude!"
Allison glared at him, not backing down.
Dwight awkwardly cleared his throat. "Fine, fine. I was just teasing. Let's go eat and bankrupt that bastard!"
With that, he strode off, leaving Allison exasperated.
Teddy, meanwhile, was surrounded by a group of women. Initially, they asked academic questions, but the conversation soon veered off course.
"Teddy, I heard you're already a PhD student under Mr. Sullivan. That's impressive!"
"Teddy, do you have a girlfriend?"
"Teddy, would you consider dating me? I really admire you!"
"Teddy..."
Teddy practically fled to the car, his suit wrinkled and disheveled.
Allison couldn't help but laugh. "Teddy, you look like you've been through hell. People
might think you were assaulted!"
What do you think?
