The CEO’s little ones

Chapter 14

Chapter 14:.

“Little Noah!”.

“Miss Downey!”.

With the enormous noise created by the chandelier crashing to the ground, people watching this scene at the doorway let out shout after shout.

At the same time, in the center of the living room, immeasurable shards of the crystal chandelier were scattered above the original mess on the floor, and Hayden was covering the little boy with one hand and his other hand was crushed by the heavy chandelier. That part of his hand was mangled and bloody, and it hurt so badly that he eventually lost consciousness.

Earlier, when everyone was paralyzed with impending fear, Hayden simply ran to the boy without even thinking about the potential dangers. She just wanted to protect him from harm.

Before she lost consciousness, Hayden thought she heard the boy mumble something.

It sounded like ‘mama’.

The whole place was pandemonium at that moment.

“Quick, call an ambulance now. We have to send Miss Downey to the hospital.”

“Little Noah won’t let go of Miss Downey’s shirt. What should we do?”.

“Take both of them. Who could take care of him if he stayed? Are you going to take the responsibility if something should happen?”

“All right, all right. Call Mr. Beckham now.”

“…”.

At a high-class private club in N. City….noveldrama

Joseph had just signed a contract and his assistant was firing his negotiating partner. While waiting for his assistant to finish his task, he was having tea alone in a suite.

This was part of his daily routine.

“Joseph.”

A sweet voice sounded and Joseph looked with imperceptibly furrowed eyebrows in the direction of the voice.

A tall beauty pushed aside the curtains hanging over the entrance to the suite and entered with a pleasantly surprised face.

“It really is you. Coincidentally I had just finished my sponsorship negotiations in another suite and Jason happened to see your assistant firing someone. That’s when I wondered if you were here too.”

Joseph only mumbled a vague reply at her words.

“I just saw your grandfather two days ago.” Violet Kidman sat across from him as she carefully studied his expression. Seeing that he produced no unusual response to the word ‘your grandfather’, she continued, “Your grandfather says you’ve been raising Noah by yourself all these years and that there must be times when you haven’t been able to take good care of him with your busy schedule. He is also concerned that the maids may not be able to attend to all of Noah’s needs, so he is of the opinion that you should consider sending him back to his side.”

Hearing this, Joseph’s expression turned dark, “Sending him back sounds even more dangerous than keeping him at my side, you know? You don’t need to be a lobbyist.”

“I’m not here to persuade you, I’m just relaying his words. It’s your grandfather’s will.”

Violet smiled and continued to explain slowly, “Actually, your grandfather also said he hoped you could find someone who could take good care of Noah all the time. That way, you won’t have to worry about him when you’re away either.”

Joseph gave no opinion on this, but suddenly, his assistant broke in.

“Mr. Beckham…” His assistant froze for a moment when he saw that Violet was there with him.

“What’s wrong?” asked Joseph.

“Ah.” His assistant broke free from his reverie and continued nervously “The hotel just called and informed me that something has happened to little Noah. Apparently, the crystal chandelier in the suite has collapsed.”

At these words, a venomous glint flashed in Violet’s eyes, but it disappeared after a moment.

Joseph rose from his seat with a somber expression. His usual calm, composed expression took on a layer of anxiety as he asked, “How is Noah now?”

“Mr. Beckham, you can rest assured, a hotel employee managed to narrowly save him, so little Noah is unharmed,” he said. However, he then wanted to follow the employee to the hospital.” His assistant explained.

Hearing that, Joseph wanted to leave immediately and head for the hospital.

Violet cast a glance at Joseph’s suit hanging not far away and took it with her as she said, “Joseph, let me follow you.”
