Chapter 356 I'M Afraid That You Won'T Be Able To Enjoy It
Joseph’s face slowly changed.
It was wide open in the field, so Zed’s last two words were still echoing, but those bodyguards all
seemed professional and didn’t even change their faces.
After hearing Zed’s words, Rebekah seemed heartbroken and yelled at Zed with the last of her
strength, “You asshole. How dare to say this sort of lie.”
But Zed just sneered and stared at Joseph, “Your mother was supposed to marry me thirty years ago,
but she lied to me by saying she was the daughter of the Beckhams. She was just adopted and quite
frankly, she was the child bride for your dead father. I wasted a whole year of time...”
“Then your mother was pregnant was you and that Henry even came and beat me up. But still, he
married your mother and I left. He really did a wonderful job of raising my son for me.”
Zed’s was actually proud by this point.
“Have you said enough?” Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Joseph had regained his calm look and seemed like he didn’t at all believe Zed’s words.
“You were supposed to give these bullions. I give you your life.” Zed stared at him and seemed cocky.
“You wouldn’t be able to inherit Beckham’s fortunes if I didn’t give up you.”
Joseph sneered, “Then these 400 bullions do seem a bit less. It would only be fair if you take half of my
fortune.”
“It would be great if you really think this...” Zed even had the audacity to respond.
Standing next to Rebekah, Hayden was holding her cold hands and thought why this scumbag was still
living in this world.
Joseph’s back was standing steadfastly like a mountain, but his words were echoing in the open field
clearly, “I’m afraid you wouldn’t have the life to enjoy it.”
Then two black figured suddenly showed up behind Zed’s Porsche and started fighting with those three
thugs. One of them just directly hit Zed on the face.
Zed suddenly pulled the trigger, but Blossom dodged it and twisted his wrist.
Zed shrieked out of sharp pain, but was then stepped on the ground by Blossom and can’t even move.
Holding unconscious Benjamin in her arms, Blossom was furious and kicked Zed’s face. “How dare you
to mess with my man. I will just kill you right now.”
“Okay, Blossom.” One of the husky men next to Joseph stepped over and said seriously, “Lock him
quickly and we will go back to the police station. You know that you are forbidden to abuse him, right?
Do you want to be punished?”
Blossom frowned and retracted her feet unwillingly.
Waving his hand, two of the special soldier disguised as bodyguards walked over and out handcuff on
Zed and then escorted him on the sedan.
What happened was all actually Joseph’s trick.
Hayden only learned about this after she was saved.
Joseph didn’t plan to let Zed leave since the beginning, because once they boarded the ship at the
harbor, he will smuggle himself to somewhere else. The mainland will then have no right to arrest him.
Joseph then thought of this trick. He handed Zed the bullions which will force these thugs to leave
because their greedy nature and then they had to ditch either Hayden or Benjamin. Zed thought that
Benjamin was more valuable, so he gave up this “waiter” Hayden.
Then Joseph asked the special soldiers to disguise themselves as his bodyguards. Zed had been
hiding himself in the dark for years and knew clearly that police won’t kill kidnappers unless the
situation was really urgent, so naturally he was afraid that Joseph won’t care about Benjamin’s life and
just kill him.
But Joseph’s identity surprisingly distracted him and gave Blossom the opportunity to attack him.
Benjamin was then taken to the ambulance by the medical personnel and Blossom followed along.
All the people involved in this kidnap had to do the record in the police station. Joseph turned around
after a while and just looked at Hayden and Rebekah ten feet apart.
Rebekah looked at him complicatedly and wanted to say something. But she ended up muttering,
“Joseph, don’t believe him. He is just a lunatic.”
“Sure.” Joseph seemed indifferent and walked over. “Why would I believe him?”
But Rebekah’s face just seemed more painful. Of course what her son was actually thinking about.
Passing through her, Joseph said coldly, “Hayden, let’s go.”
It seemed like that nothing had happened and he had never helped her.
But Hayden suddenly screamed, “Auntie Rebekah, are you okay?”
Joseph stopped and found that Rebekah passed out in Hayden’s arms. His face immediately changed
and sprinted towards them.
Three days later, there were a lot of people in the impatient department of the Shanghai Hospital.
Hayden was staying at Rebekah’s hospital bed and peeling apple for her. “Auntie Rebekah, the doctor
said that you had a violent mood swing and hadn’t slept well for a long time. So your blood pressure
wasn’t stable. You can be discharged from the hospital after a few days of observation.”
Rebekah passed out for two days. The doctor said it wasn’t serious. She was just too tired.
She hadn’t taken anything for two days and had to maintain her vital signs via drops.
“I’m okay. I can actually leave the hospital now.” Rebekah still seemed a bit weak and some of her hard
had gone grey overnight. She looked at Hayden with thanks, but more with distress.
Hayden was so perfect and can well match her son. It was a shame that she can do nothing.
“No.” Hayden handed her an apple.
“I called Joseph and he said that he will come and see you when he is not busy.”
Hearing her words, Rebekah’s face immediately changed and wanted to get out of the bed.
“What are you doing, auntie Rebekah?” Hayden immediately stopped her while still holding a fruit knife.
“Be careful.”
Rebekah seemed hurried. “Hayden, just let me go. He wouldn’t want to see me. I have no face to meet
him now.”
“Auntie Rebekah, you have to calm down. Sit down first.”
“No.”
While they were struggling, the ward door was suddenly opened and a tall figured appeared at the
door. His voice was cold as always, but sounded unnatural this time, “What are you two doing?”
