Chapter Fourty Seven
Alex
"What do you mean? We just left there." Lewis said and I nodded.
"He said Tracy was calling me already when she left, but this is Tracy's phone in her bag," I said
showing them the phone.
"Wait, that is true, but why can't we see the car she drove?." Cole asked
"He probably did something about it," Lewis answered
"Oh my goodness! Why didn't I think of it?" James said facepalming himself
"What are you talking about?" I asked hoping he remembered something.
"When I came here eight years ago, I brought some antique houses which I renovated, there were
some houses with secret passages, but I'm not sure which one has, I have to check for the maps I was
given when I bought the houses, The house I sold to Sam might be one of the houses with secret
passages." He said and I stood up.
"What are we waiting for? Let's go to your place." I said and he nodded.
It was well past ten but none of us seemed to notice, we filed out, we were about to get into the car
when we noticed, the security guards were talking to someone at the door.
I'm sure we all rushed to the door with the same intention, that it was Tracy at the door, we were
suprised to see that it was Rebecca, Lewis' wife at the door, the moment we told the guards to let her
in, she fell into her husband's arm and started sobbing.
It took a few minutes before she could calm down enough to tell us what was wrong.
"We have to go and save them."
"Who?"
"Tiana and the kids!, Gun!, some men went to their house and is trying to take Tiana and the kids,
Tiana is stalling them, I drove to be with her and the kids but when I got there and saw those men, I
knew I had to come to find you." She said and Cole started going towards the gate but James pulled
him back.
"Let me go!, My wife and kids."
"You have to calm down his kids are there too, we have to be reasonable about this," James said
making Cole relax.
"How many men did you see?" James asked
"Three, but I'm sure there is another one on the lookout, I didn't stay long enough to find out."
"Good, what I'll do is call someone at the police station, we'll all try to move quietly so we won't alert
those people, but we have to be fast at the same time."
James moved away and placed a call, he took a few minutes then came back.
"It is settled they'll meet us at the intersection before Cole's house, who is driving the car?."
"Oh, the kids are in the car!" Rebecca said rushing outside
"I'll just follow whichever car you are driving," Lewis said then followed his wife.
"I'll drive," Cole said
"What?, I'll rather drive." He said collecting the key from me.
He drove us out and as the policemen said, we met at the intersection before Cole's house, the police
advised us to leave our car as we got closer to the house, we all had to start walking to prevent alerting
the criminals.
The policemen told us to wait somewhere safe, and they proceeded, we watched as the police walked
slowly round the house and came back with a man in black, gun to his head, already cuffed.
One of the policemen came towards us and asked for Cole, Cole went with them and in no time the
criminals brought the criminals out, we rushed to the house, James spoke with the policemen but I
went straight inside, the kids looked frightened, Cole was comforting his wife who was sobbing.
I talked to the children and assured them that everything was okay, I had to leave them for a while
because the police had questions for me, I answered their questions, we were told to come to the
station to write statements the next day before they left.
We all went inside, James played with the kids, he promised to take them to the amusement park soon,
I was happy everyone was saved but also very worried that Tracy is still with Sam, I hope the Police
are connecting the dots because I'm sure Sam sent those people.
The kids eventually fell asleep, Tracy and Rebecca tucked them in while, Cole, Lewis, and James
talked.
"What are we going to do now?" Cole asked, he is still in shock but I know he is worried about Tracy
too.
"I'm going to James' place," I said and James nodded.
"I'm going with you," Cole said
"I'm going too," Lewis said and I sighed.
"I know you are worried about Tracy, but we can't leave the ladies and the kids, we don't know what
might happen again, Sam can do anything," I said and they nodded.
"How about we just take the ladies and the kids to our parents," Lewis suggested and Cole nodded.
"We can do that, then we can go to James' place and search for that map."
We all agreed to do that, we told the ladies and they agreed too, they packed the children's bag, while
we moved the kids gently into the cars.
Lllp
We drove to their parents', and as expected Mr. and Mrs. Jones had lots of questions but we left the
ladies to explain to them.
We left their place and drove to James', searching for the map was harder than I thought, normally Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
James appeared to be an organized type of person, he always look like someone that has everything in
control, he act it too, but his library is the complete opposite, not organized and he didn't have it under
control, I agree now when they said nobody is perfect.
It took a while before we found the boxes he kept the maps, we all searched for the map to Sam's after
a while we got tired but didn't stop.
"Seriously?, You should have gotten someone to organize this for you," Lewis said rolling yet another
map which is not what we are looking for.
"I know right he looks so organized and.... I found it." I said and everyone rushed to my side
"I found it!" I said again and they cheered
"Now let's see," James said but he couldn't figure anything out.
"This looks like Greek to me." He said squinting
"Let me have that, I studied cartography for a while," Cole said and James handed him the map.
He studied it for minutes while we just watched him.
"It seems like you are right James, there is something hidden, not a passage but a room."
