The Forgotten Titan's Resurgence

Chapter 26

After Gideon left, Marion brought Arnold to Prestige Hospital for treatment. Although he was bleeding profusely, his injuries were mostly superficial, so he was fine. They were most worried about Elara, but despite crying their hearts out, they couldn't do anything.

"Dad! Mom!"

When they abruptly heard the familiar voice calling out to them from the doorway, they looked up and were instantly stupefied.

Elara flew into Marion's arms and started wailing.

Back at Monarchy Club, she'd been stricken with terror. After managing to escape, she was too panicked to think

of anything else. Now that she was at the hospital with her parents, she could finally vent her emotions.

Marion was shocked and thrilled. “Ella! I'm so glad you're okay!"

Arnold looked a little more alive, too.

After a while, Elara finally stopped crying. Only then did Arnold ask, "How did you escape, Ella?"

"It was because of Gideon."

Biting her lip, Elara sighed and said, "I guess you could say he saved me." Marion was in disbelief. "Was it really Gideon? How could he have saved you?" Elara told them the whole story, to which Marion scoffed. "What an arrogant punk he is! Well, he's gone and done it now. I'm sure he's going to end up badly."

"Watch what you say!" Arnold berated.

Marion jumped in alarm before lashing out at him. "Why are you yelling at me?"

"Can't you see?" Arnold questioned sorrowfully. "Gideon only provoked them to draw attention to him so that Ella could escape. He went through all that effort for her sake, but you two are being so ungrateful! Why do I have such a foolish family? Are both your hearts made of stone?"

Marion and Elara had nothing to say for themselves.

It suddenly dawned on Elara that Gideon only taunted Nino so that she would have a chance to escape. She'd been wrong about him.

"What should we do now, Dad? Mr. Duran's going to beat Gideon to death!"

"Our entire family owes him," Arnold said as he sobbed heavily.

But just then, someone entered the room-Gideon.

After seeing what was going on, he asked, “Why are you crying, Dad?"

All three Seymours yelped and jumped in fright.

"Gideon!"

"Is that really you, or are you a ghost?" Elara exclaimed.

"Why are you talking about ghosts in broad daylight?" Gideon retorted. "I'm standing right here, aren't I?”

Arnold hurried off the bed to touch Gideon and check for himself before allowing himself to feel glad.

Gideon, Ella told us all about what happened. How did you manage to escape? Are Mr. Duran's men coming after you? It's not safe here at the hospital. Let's all flee now!"

"Don't worry, Dad. It's been dealt with."

"Huh?"

The Seymours were all confused.

Shrugging, Gideon said coolly, "Nino Duran has been dealt with."

"You dealt with Mr. Duran? Are you kidding me? Do you know who he is? He's a criminal boss! He has hundreds of men working for him and owns dozens of establishments, too. How can you and your impoverished Snow family go up against him?" Marion questioned mercilessly.

Elara shook her head, her eyes flashing with disappointment. All of the gratitude she once felt toward him vanished into thin air. She hated how much of a braggart

he was.noveldrama

Why couldn't he just admit to being useless? Why did he have to always try to talk himself up and pretend to be a big shot?

It was utterly humiliating!

"When dealing with someone from the criminal underworld, the only thing that matters is who has the toughest fist," Gideon declared. "All I had to do was beat them up."

"Are you telling me that you fought your way out of there?" Arnold asked disbelievingly.

"Not quite," Gideon said. "I simply beat up the guys in the room, and Nino immediately backed off, so I left the club after that. That's all."

Marion and Elara glanced at each other. Both sported doubtful expressions. "Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Seymour."

Out of the blue, Matthew showed up with a gift in hand. His eyes flashed with surprise when he saw Elara in the room as well.
