Chapter 347
Troy Jackson knew about Florian's grudges with Matthew.
Florian had caught feelings for one of the women in Matthew's company. He had grabbed her at the gates and refused to let her go, intending to ask for her number. However, Matthew had caught him.
Florian had thought that Matthew would let him go because he was one of the shareholders. Unexpectedly, Matthew had grilled him on the spot. That was why Florian was so mad.
Although Troy didn't agree with Florian, he had fought hard to finally be the latter's manager. Troy had a house and a car to pay off, too. He didn't want to lose his job just because he was feeling a little righteous. Troy agreed to Florian's request at once. "Don't you worry, sir. I'll finish him when I see him tomorrow. I won't let you down."
Florian was satisfied with Troy's attitude. He nodded. "Remember to take a few more security guards with you. Look as intimidating as you can. You have to humble him properly. If you do this right, I'll increase your salary." Troy was ecstatic. "Thanks, sir. You may look forward to it."
...
The next day, the sun shone brightly down on the entire city as people went to their offices in a hurry.
A car stopped outside Gembrooke Building, and Sara got out of the driver's seat. She was dressed in an outfit that showed off her curves, and she had high heels on. As she stepped out, men stopped to stare at her. She walked gracefully to the side of the car and opened the door. Then, Matthew out of the car.
Sara looked at him sincerely and asked gently, "Can I follow you in, Mr. Grant? I have nothing to do in the car. If I follow you in, I could help make you some coffee or hold your bag for you."
Matthew considered it and nodded. "That sounds alright. You can come in with me."
When he had been Sara's driver, she had insisted that he accompany her. Now that Sara was his driver, she had volunteered to accompany him instead.
Matthew stared at her deeply, guessing that she had an ulterior motive. He regarded her warily.
Then, he looked up at the familiar building, reminiscing about days from the past. He had spent all his time here after university-before he had been sent to prison.
He had worked in a tiny office, gradually building his empire. Eventually, he had gotten married and then gone to prison.noveldrama
He snapped back to reality and sighed before walking in through the entrance.
Troy had come to the office early today. He had been waiting for Matthew. As per tradition, newly-minted bosses had to go through the handover procedures.
If Troy couldn't see Matthew today, he would stop anyone else from going in. Thus, Matthew would have to come eventually.
But to his surprise, Matthew actually came.
Troy sneered. He said to the guards
next to him, "Remember what I told you. I'll fire anyone who lets
Matthew in, and you won't get a single penny from last month's pay!"

The guards' expressions shifted, and they said nothing.
Troy scoffed. "Do you fucking hear me? Say something! Are you all deaf?"
The guards looked upset. They said in unison, "Yes, sir."
Troy scoffed again. He was displeased with these guards. He would have to get himself some new recruits who had the balls to fight.
Matthew went up to the entrance.
He noticed that the guards were looking at him. Something seemed off. He brushed it off. He'd come
into this building many times before.
Since there were so many companies here, the guards
wouldn't even ask where the guests were from. They would only stop delivery guys, postmen, electricians, construction workers, and
contractors.
With that thought, Matthew went straight in. Suddenly, a guard reached out to stop him. "Stop there. What are you here for?"
Matthew frowned. "I just took over the sixth floor. I'm about to do the handover procedures."
The guard coughed. "Do you have the entry pass?"
What do you think?
