Chapter 524
Horace could squash Sebastian like a bug with a single finger. The latter was overwhelmed with a sense of helplessness.
Sebastian was holding on through sheer anger. It was a reckless thirst for
revenge, even going as far as murder. Like a deflated balloon, he was completely drained.
With a clang, the scabbard in his hand dropped to the floor as he plunged into despair.
After intimidating Sebastian, Dallas felt a surge of confidence and looked over at Matthew. "And you. Scram! When Horace gets here, you'll regret it."
Regret it? With a flash, Matthew drew the Apex Blade and stabbed it into Dallas' other arm. Then, he abruptly yanked it out, splattering blood everywhere.
Dallas' jaw dropped in astonishment. It was over before he could even feel the pain.
"Aren't you afraid of Horace?" He was utterly baffled. He had already played his trump card and mentioned Horace's name. Why would Matthew still dare to hurt him?
Sebastian snapped out of it, gaping at Matthew in shock. His jaw dropped for a long time. Horace was a fearsome figure and a general, but Matthew didn't care about his status and struck without hesitation.
Faced with Dallas' question, Matthew sported a cold look. His voice was filled with a palpable murderous intent.
"Do you fear the blade I'm holding?"
Dallas fixed his gaze on the blade Matthew was wielding. The blade was angeled toward the ground with blood dripping steadily from it. Every drop of it came from his body.
The sight sent chills down his spine. He had already taken two hits and was genuinely terrified Matthew might strike again. Overwhelmed by fear, Dallas stumbled two steps backward.
Matthew swung the Apex Blade around and coldly remarked, "The blade is right by your throat, white
Horace is still so far away.
You
claimed that he is your relative, but I don't believe you."
With that, the Apex Blade pierced into Dallas' right leg before it was being slowly pulled out.
Dallas howled in pain. The sound alone was enough to make anyone feel his suffering. He stagged back a few steps before collapsing on a chair.noveldrama
"Y-you think I'm bluffing, huh? I'll call him right now. I can get him over here right away."
Getting Horace on the phone? Matthew nodded. "You'd better make it quick. Otherwise, the next slash is going to take your life."
A hint of madness flickered in Matthew's eyes as he clenched the Apex Blade tightly. The blade shook ever so slightly, and it shone with an icy glow. The murderous intent surged within him as if it was about to burst out of his body.
Matthew had been hunted down so many times, and the moment finally arrived. At long last, he was about to face off with the mastermind behind it all.
With wounds in his arms, Dallas shakily pulled out his phone and dialed Horace's number. "I'm Dallas, Uncle Horace. I'm in trouble."
An old, angry voice came through the phone. "Why did you call? I told you only to call when your life is in danger. Don't dial this number again. Hang up now."
Dallas was startled. "N-no. Don't hang up. Someone's trying to kill me."
The person on the other end paused. It went silent for a moment before he nonchalantly said, "Who wants to kill you? Hand him the phone."
What do you think?
