The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 607

Settle the score? Matthew raised an eyebrow and stared at Tessa with a puzzled look.

Last time, Tessa put up a pathetic fight, and it was painful to watch. Matthew was surprised by how tough she was acting today.

He coldly remarked, "Really? You?"

Tessa gritted her teeth. "I'm not fighting you. As a woman, there's no reason for me to throw hands with a man. I found myself a powerhouse. As a cultivator, he's the best in Lambda City. He can easily take you down without breaking a sweat."

Matthew's eyes suddenly turned as sharp as knives, locking eyes with Tessa and yelling, "Scram! I'm warning you. Don't push your luck if you don't want to get slapped again."

Frightened by his intense stare, she backed away and moved aside. Matthew coldly grunted before continuing to his car.

Upon seeing Matthew leave, Tessa anxiously turned around. Dylan had just pulled over and was stepping out of his car.

Realizing this, Tessa felt a surge of confidence. As she turned back, she saw Matthew was taking off soon, so she shouted, "Hold it right there, Matthew Grant!"

Matthew just made it to the car. Upon hearing Tessa's shout, he frowned and stopped in his tracks. But he was done with seeing her face again, so he chose to leave and reached for the car door.

With a click, he grabbed the car handle and pulled it. As the door opened, he was ready to get in.

Noticing what was happening, Tessa rushed forward and grabbed Matthew by the arm. "I thought you were tough, Matthew. Looks like you're just a coward after all. But it's already too late. You're not getting away."

Coward? Matthew closed the car door and shoved Tessa away. Turning back, he wanted to see who was behind her newfound confidence. Upon spotting Dylan, he was dumbfounded.

Just a few days back, Dylan was on his knees in front of Matthew with Keith, begging for mercy. Who would've thought Tessa sought help from him as well?

Tessa stumbled back a few steps. Thinking Matthew was making a run for it, she frantically shouted at Dylan, "Please hurry, Mr. Evans. As soon as he heard it was you, he freaked out and wanted to escape. If you don't hurry up, he'll run away."

Dylan rolled up his sleeves and hurried over. But when he saw Matthew, he was so terrified that his face went pale, and he stopped right away.

How could it be Matthew? A few days ago, he was begging Matthew on his knees to spare Keith's life. Little did he know that the man Tessa hated was actually Matthew.

Dylan felt a wave of regret. After begging Matthew to let him and Keith off the hook, he came looking for trouble.

When Tessa saw Dylan suddenly stop, she got worried that Matthew would flee, so she pushed Dylan to hurry.

"What are you doing just standing there? Get a move on, or Matthew will get away."

Things would have been easier if Matthew had left. That way, Dylan could have gotten out of the situation, but Matthew wasn't going anywhere.

Meeting Matthew's chilling gaze, Dylan found his back drenched in cold sweat. Tessa knitted her brows together. Feeling all worked up, she waited for Dylan to get her revenge, but she was baffled as to what took him so long.

"Beat him up now! You can smash seven bricks with one punch, so just lay into him already. If you go easy on him, I won't feel any better."

Upon hearing Tessa's words, Matthew glared at Dylan with a menacing grin. This time, he decided not to show any mercy, so he shouted at Dylan, "What are you waiting for? Hit me."

Dylan was fed up with Tessa. She wasn't pushing him into a fight but getting him killed.

At that moment, he had no other options and had to plead for mercy. With a thud, his legs gave out, and he dropped to his knees.

Tessa eagerly anticipated Dylan settling the score for her, believing that his Iron Fist could totally outmatch Matthew. But it threw her into a loop when he knelt.

Gaping in disbelief, she exclaimed, "W-why did you get on your knees, Mr. Evans? He's out of your league. You can easily knock him out in one punch. Did you mistake him for someone else?"

Dylan was so mad that his hands started trembling. "I'm begging you. Shut your mouth. Your words are getting me into hot water," he thought.

Fuming with rage, Dylan snapped, "Cut it out, Tessa Sanders! I'm no match for Mr. Grant. I don't even deserve to be his opponent."

How could that be? Tessa was perplexed. "Your Iron Fist is one of a kind. He's not even in your league."

Dylan yelled out in anger. "Stay quiet. Keep yapping like that, and I'll take you down with my fists. If I'd known you had a beef with Mr. Grant, I would have taken you out to save myself from trouble."

What the heck? At this point, Tessa finally realized Dylan definitely had a hard time with Matthew, or he wouldn't be this scared.

Thinking about this, Tessa was utterly shocked. How was the best person in Iron Fist wasn't even a match for Matthew? What made Matthew so strong?

Was Matthew still the same person she knew? Why did he have so many impressive qualities she didn't know about? How much was he hiding from her? Seeing Dylan was already on his knees, Matthew walked up to Tessa with a cold expression. "I can't believe you actually found someone to get back at me. Since you've come to me, don't blame me for not playing nice."

The moment Matthew finished his sentence, he slapped Tessa across her face. The loud smack echoed in the air upon impact.noveldrama

With lightning speed, Matthew's hand came down on Tessa's cheeks, hitting her repeatedly. His hand moved so fast that it blurred in the airw as if multiple hands were slapping her at once.
