Chapter 8
Chapter 8
Seeing the bird slowly start getting up, Fen Qin felt a burst of happiness inside. She didn't think that it
would work, but it could the antidote to the poison. 'This is just a small sample. I'm close, but I'll need to
make a larger amount with a few more certain herbs.' Fen Qin thought if it all knowing she didn't have
enough of the materials. She needed a little bit more to fully complete the antidote.
Rubbing her head, she felt tired and restless for the past few days. "How much longer will I make you
wait, Sister Qi?" Fen Qin recalled memories with a familiar woman to her. Fen Qin was still a young
child at the time hanging out with a woman who she saw like an older sister.
Hearing knocking at the door, it was really early for someone to be visiting her. Going over, Fen Qing
had opened the door to see Lord Yi. "What brings you here at this time?"
"I wanted to see if there were any medicine to help Shao Qing with her nausea. She's never had this
type of symptoms before during her pregnancy. So, I was wondering if there was any way to help ease
it." Lord Yi had come early when the sun was barely coming up.
"Give me a second." Fen Qin had Lord Yi wait outside since it was not appropriate in her eyes to allow
another man into her home even though she allowed Xue Yahui in. A married man between an
unmarried man made a huge difference.
Grabbing all of the herbs needed, Fen Qin went back outside to give it to Lord Yi. "Here. These will do
it. Let her take it every morning only. Make sure that she doesn't overwork herself. Do not let her carry
anything heavy or do too much heavy loads." Fen Qin advised Lord Yi even though she didn't live with
them and was not blood related in anyway, but she still worried about her little sister.
"I got it. I'm married to her so I will be sure to take good care of her." Lord Yi went on ahead home, but
he then stopped for a bit. "You should try to express yourself more. You and Shao Qing may not be
related in blood, but you basically raised her like a sister. Shao Qing worries for you and I do not want
to see her upset if something happens to you." Lord Yi advised Fen Qin.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
Fen Qin looked indifferent to Lord Yi, "It's better this way. I have my own personal matters to handle. It's
best that she focuses on her growing family." Fen Qin closed the door going back to list out the next
herbs that she would need to improve from the first sample.

Lord Yi sighed looking at the shut door behind him. "If she doesn't try to resolve and get help from
others then she will undergo a harsher fate." Lord Yi said returning back to Mu Shao Qing who was
laying in bed obviously due to her symptoms.
"How did it go?" Mu Shao Qing saw how Lord Yi returned with the herbs. She also sent him to check on
her older sister. It had been a few days, but she worried a lot about her older sister.
"She seems fine. Your sister isn't clumsy like you." Lord Yi pointed out going over to Mu Shao Qing who
grumbled looking to him.
"Now, is that any way to treat the mother of your children?" Mu Shao Qing gave him a look knowing
how Lord Yi still enjoyed messing with her at some point.
"It really depends." Lord Yi smirked kissing her head knowing how childish she could still be when they
both told each other to grow up since they were parents now.
Mu Shao Qing sighed knowing how stubborn her sister could be. Fen Qin was always alone, Mu Shao
Qing never knew what had happened to her in the past. Her sister was somewhat stubborn, boring,
and abstract. She didn't have much of a positive personality, but she was reliable for the most part.
"She worries me all the time. I may have been saved by her and raised by her, but I never knew much
about her background."
Lord Yi got into the bed with Mu Shao Qing, knowing how she worried about Fen Qin all the time.
"Don't worry. If she is in any danger then we will surely protect her. I'll have someone go and check up
on her again. Rest for now." Mu Shao Qing snuggles trying to get some sleep.

"Have you found her yet?" A man stood in a main room with a woman standing aside. The man held
his posture, looking down to his few men at the bottom of the stairs. "Speak!" He demanded from the
few men below who shook with fear.
"W-W-We l-lost two o-of our men!"
"We didn't f-f-find them a-anywhere!"
Two spoke out for the group, the man before them grumbled seeing how they could have lost two of
their men when they were known to be the best. "How can two of your men be gone?! You all are
known to do well in your job!" The man got up, going over to see his few concubines who stood on the
side further from his main wife. His concubines shook with fear of what the man would do. "Do you
perhaps no longer pledge your loyalty to me?" He looked down to the men who dared not to betray
him.
"No! Our loyalty is only to you!"
"If you do not believe us then we shall take our lives!"
The men in the group took out their daggers, ready to kill themselves there in the open. "No need!" The
man had stopped them from wasting their lives. "Find those two men! If they are dead then it means
that they found her, but if they are still alive and well then kill them."
"Understood!" The group of men bowed, leaving to find the other two men who hadn't returned.
"Such a shame. My only daughter does not wish to return at all." The man said grabbing ahold of one
of his concubines chin.
"What will you do once we find our daughter?" His wife didn't know what he had in plan for her.
"Let us wait for now. She has a great purpose for us. That's why we are looking for her." He said
smiling to finally choose which concubine to serve him. "Leave us." He gestured with everyone leaving
expect one concubine who shook tremendously not wanting to be picked. "You'll be fine. Just obey
me." He whispered to the concubine who was in tears, but not sobbing.
