Chapter 265
Chapter 265 Your Meat's Not Tasty Anyway
Samantha had just been showering Finley with compliments about how adorable he was. So, how did it suddenly turn into Unity being the cuter one? And the way Samantha playfully pinched Unity's little face-why did it feel like she was pinching his own? Was this merely his imagination? Or had Samantha begun to treat him like a mere dog?

Samantha glanced up as Finley approached, holding Unity snugly in his arms. Rising gracefully, she moved to his side. "What's up?"
"Am I cuter, or is Unity cuter?"
Finley's question left Samantha momentarily stunned. She blinked, wondering if she had misheard. "Finley, Unity is a dog, and you're a person. How could you possibly compare yourself to a dog?"
It seemed as though Finley was in a playful competition with Unity. He earnestly asked again, "So, who's cuter? Me or him?"
Samantha chuckled softly. "You're both adorable."
Finley had nothing to say to that. "You know how to keep everyone happy."
With a gentle smile, Samantha placed Unity into Finley's arms. "Finley, let me tell you. Unity is exceptionally clever. He can understand everything you say. If you don't believe me, just ask him." Finley's gaze fell on Unity nestled in his arms.
Unity lifted a paw, tapping gently on the back of Finley's hand, their eyes meeting in a brief, knowing exchange. For a fleeting moment, Finley realized that he was not even as skilled at charming people as this little dog was.
Setting Unity down, Finley allowed the pup to frolic and play. Almost as if understanding, Unity scampered off to a corner, happily bouncing a ball around.
Finley turned to Samantha. "Are you hungry?"
"Yes! So, what exactly are you planning to make for breakfast?"
Finley pondered for a moment before answering, "I'll make whatever you want."
His offer made Samantha pause, lost in thought.
After a beat, she leaned closer, teasing him with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "I want to eat you."
He was caught aback.
"Right now? Hmm?"
Seeing Finley take her seriously, she hurriedly added, "I'm just kidding! I wouldn't eat you; you're not tasty anyway."
He looked at her with a soft, amused smile. "It seems you're mischievous. Who taught you this?"
"From you."
With that, Samantha turned to leave, but Finley quickly followed. "Wait, Sam."
She halted, glancing back at him. "What is it?"
"I just want to hold your hand and walk with you."
Samantha sighed contentedly, resting her head on his shoulder as they strolled into the living room together.
Finley gently settled Samantha on
the couch, handing her a plate of
the Cnack on while he made his
fruit to
way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Elias, his stomach growling, wandered into the living room and saw Samantha enjoying an apple. Without a second thought, he approached and snatched the fruit plate from her hands.
Samantha shot him a disapproving look. "That was mine." "I'm hungry."
"Well, if you're hungry, why don't you peel one yourself?" Elias replied with sincere earnestness, "I don't know how."
Exasperated, she grabbed another apple, swiftly peeling it and taking a bite. As he stood there holding the plate, not eating, Samantha raised
an eyebrow in curiosity. "I gave you the fruit. Why aren't you eating?"
"My sister's hungry too, so I'm taking this back for her."
Samantha couldn't believe what she heard.
