Heavy rain pours down on the road sending lightning bolts across the city. Nathaniel speeds up, while Alexandra continues to sleep. Driving through the foggy road, the radio signal becomes inaudible and Nathaniel turns it off, catching a glimpse of an animal in front of him, he turns his wheels, losing control, and drives into the mud, Nathaniel attempts to kickstart the engine but couldn't, he tries again but the car refuses to start.

Alexandra yawns turn around and wake up.

"Where are we?"

"Still on the road"

Bewildered, Alexandra takes off her seatbelt realizing it was already night.

"We've been driving for hours"

"Yes," Nathaniel tries to start the engine but fails again.

"Where are we heading to anyway?"

"I wanted to spend the day with you"

"What happened to spend the day in my town? Within my pack instead of the middle of nowhere"

"I thought it would be boring to spend our date within your territory where everyone knows you"

"Date? You never said anything about going on a date"

"That's because you wouldn't accept and besides what's the big deal? Date, spending time, what's the difference?"

Gazing at him for a moment, Alexandra scoffs, uncertain what to say, she attempts to open the door.

"Let me out of here"

"Alexandra!"

"Let me out this second"

"Alexandra is raining"

"I don't care!" She yells "You are a liar, how could you lie to me"

"I didn't lie to you, I just didn't tell you the Truth"

"What's the difference?"

"What's the big deal? All I wanted was to spend this day with you since you

refused to come with me to my pack. Is that too much to ask?"

"Yes. If you wanted to spend the day together, why take a long drive to the middle of nowhere, what if I get killed?"

"I won't let anything happen to you?"

"How can I trust you? How can I ever trust you when you didn't tell me this was a date"

"Well it isn't a date, are you happy now? And I never said I had no idea where we are" Pissed off he unlocks the door and Alexandra gets down, the rain continues to pour down heavily and Nathaniel gets down as well.

"Help me let's try pushing out this car"

Ignoring him Alexandra begins to walk away.

"Don't go too far or you might get lost" He yells and Alexandra rolls her eyes.

Walking a little further and glancing around seeing a dense fog cast over the road, Alexandra halts, catching a glimpse of a wolf through the fog, and fear engulfs her.

"Nathaniel!" she yells out, turning around collides against his chest almost falling to the ground but Nathaniel quickly grabs her arm.

"Careful"

"Let me go" Alexandra breaks away

"You're funny, a moment ago, you just called out to my name, were you scared? Did you perhaps see those mobs again?"

Alexandra rolls her eyes. "Can we get off the road, is raining and I need to warm myself. Thanks to someone I would have been in my house right now"

"You know this is entirely your fault Alexandra"

Alexandra's eyes widened. "How?"

"If you agreed to go to my pack, right now we should have reached and if you wanted to willingly hang out with me then we wouldn't have been stuck" "Are you going to give up then?"

"No, I will keep on asking you six more times or more. I'm not the sort of man who gives up, anyway come on let's go. There's an inn nearby.

Observing him closely, Alexandra was certain about one thing. Nathaniel knew exactly where they were and Although they were not at home, he was going to stay by her side while also trying to convince her to come to his pack.

Holding her hand, Nathaniel leads the way, and Alexandra trails behind in silence wondering what has come over him to bring her to an unfamiliar place. They walk into an inn, their clothes drenched in the rain.

"Hey" Nathaniel states

"Goodday and welcome to our Inn" The Innkeeper states with a warm smile

"Yes I've been here a couple of times, don't know if you remember"

Staring at him for a moment, the Innkeeper snaps her finger in recollection. "Of course, I remember you. You are the Alpha of Crimson pack"

Alexandra rolls her eyes without a doubt he had made this move on purpose to try and lure her to his pack but she was falling for it not after what he did to her and hasn't apologized. She was still mad that he had scolded her and didn't fail to show it.

"Yes that's me, Nathaniel"

"Show off" Alexandra whispers unaware that Nathaniel also heard her.

"Am I showing off?" Nathaniel asks out of the blue and the innkeeper gawks at him, bewildered.

"Excuse me Alpha but are you asking me"

"Yes. Someone I know thinks I'm showing off so I wanted to know if I'm showing off"

"Of course not sir, you are our customer here"

Turning to Alexandra, Nathaniel winks at her. "I hope you heard that" He mutters under his breath but Alexandra wasn't paying attention any longer for her eyes were now fixed on the hideous yet mesmerizing painting hanging on the wall.

"What would you like us to do for you?"

"Our car is stuck, we're supposed to spend the day together but it got ruined so we are supposed to be heading back but our car is stuck in the mud"

"Oh mine, I'm so sorry sir"

"Is Alright, I tried pushing it out but the rain is Making the road slippery so I have to wait till tomorrow"

"That's alright, we have a mechanic if you need an extra hand"

"That would be great. I left my bag here the last time I came"

"Yes, after we received a call from you, we kept it safe. Just a moment and I will

get it from the store" The Innkeeper walks away and Nathaniel glances at Alexandra

"Having fun?"

"Not entirely, is this house owned by a werewolf?"

"Rumours have it but I don't do rumors"

Alexandra's stomach grumbles and Nathaniel smiles. "Hungry?"

Feeling ashamed, she tries to hide her face. "Thanks to someone"

"Just hang in there, we will eat in no time"

"I'm very picky with my food"

"But you weren't the other day in the restaurant"noveldrama

"Because it's within my pack and I love to eat meat"

"Bloody meat?"

Alexandra glances around. "Keep your voice down someone may hear you and No. Meat without blood, I don't try to make anyone uncomfortable"

"Such considerably"

Alexandra tries to say something when the innkeeper walks in with Nathaniel's bag.

"Here's the bag sir"

Taking the bag, Nathaniel drops it on the ground. "I will also like to request a

room"

Moving towards the countertop, Alexandra drops her arms. "Rooms. Which means two rooms"

"Alright Ma'am"

"This girl you're unbelievable" He whispers

"Woman, I'm a woman, not a girl" she shoots sharply causing the innkeeper to

laugh

Taking out the keys, she hands the keys over to them.

"I will like to order some dinner for her room, lots of meat and drinks, you already

know my favorite"

"Of course Alpha. I also included some clean clothes for your friend"

"She's my mate"

"Oh, that's lovely. Have a wonderful time here"

"We will and you too" Alexandra states walking away with Nathaniel trailing

behind, making a stop at their rooms, they glance at each other.

"I see we are next-door neighbors" He winks at her and Alexandra scoffs, throws

a suspicious look at him.

"Don't get ahead of yourself" she opens the door and shuts the door, leaning against the door and lowering down to the ground glancing around the nicely appointed bedroom. A sudden feeling engulfs her as the memory of the mobs attacking her strikes through her mind.

"Those damn mobs, this is all your fault" she states as a soft knock comes on the door and she groans flinging the door wide open, Nathaniel walks in, now cleaned up, and he extends a pair of clothes and matching shoes over to her and

Alexandra gazes at it.

"Is anything wrong?"

"The shoe is designer"

"What do you expect? Is from Alpha Nathaniel Starkov so you should know what

to expect"

"Is quite popular" she states realizing Olivia had the same pair of shoes, she has

seen her wearing them a couple of times.

"I don't buy cheap things"

"No. You gave it to a lot of sluts so it became trending"

Nathaniel glares at her. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means you should leave so I can change"

"What?"

"Or do you want to stay? Is that why you brought me here? Is that why you want

to take me to your pack"

"Alexandra!" He yells wondering what has suddenly come upon her.

He had in mind still convincing her to come with him to crimson pack before he

leaves but she was going too far and imagining things.

"I don't want these shoes especially not what you gave to other women"

"What women are you talking about? You are the one jumping to conclusions and

imagining things that aren't even there"

"Imagining things?"

"Yes, the probability with you is that you love to think whatever you want without

getting your facts right. I just bought that shoe right now in the store. You can ask the innkeeper if you wish or come to the room to see the receipt. Now change into those clothes before you catch a cold" stomping out, Nathaniel slams the door Feeling a little guilty, Alexandra gawks at the pair of shoes, running her index finger across them, a small smile creeps on her face but she quickly pushes it aside. Olivia had the same shoe and that just changed everything.

"I shouldn't apologize, right? Is not like I said anything wrong" she thinks to herself

as she changes into some dry clothes. "Who does he think he is walking out on

me like that and slamming the door"

"Nathaniel Starkov, the fearless Alpha" she rolls her eyes

As she gets out of her wet clothes, a soft knock comes on the door and she

smiles.

"I knew you wouldn't last a moment without me. What was your anger about if you

are going to come back running to me all the time" she states aloud certain he

could hear her

Getting a deafening silence, Alexandra decided not to give up.

"If this is how you are going to convince me to come to your pack then you have failed at it again and are five more to go"

"Shouldn't you apologize for walking out on me and calling me a girl? That was disrespectful but I'm being lenient with you so you should be grateful" The soft knock comes again and Alexandra frowns. "What's this? Don't want to talk, you want to go with the silent treatment, you

should know I won't back down. You would be the one crawling back on your knees when you get bored and start looking for who to talk to. By that time, it will be too late and I will be bored by then so I will just tell you to get lost" "What? Are you dumb? Cat suddenly caught your tongue? What's with the

silence? Are you perhaps scared of me" she chuckled

"Thought the Nathaniel that I know isn't scared of anything, that's the rumors I

hear"

The soft knock comes again on the door and Alexandra groans, stomping towards

the door and flinging it wide open, she gasps, bewildered.
