The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

The male waiter gazes at Nathaniel as he sits on the counter sipping on a Martini.

"Alpha Nathaniel, I'm about to close up, do you need any other thing or should I leave?"

Without saying a word, Nathaniel's cold gaze burns into his eyes, and the bartender swallows the lumps in his throat, placing a bottle of whiskey next to Nathaniel, he leaves and Nathaniel scoffs. He didn't want to be too hard on him but Alexandra always had a way of messing up his head in a manner that he couldn't explain.

"That girl" He scoffs, gulping down the martini, and pours a drink for himself. "If you keep doing that, you will get drunk"

Hearing the familiar voice sound aloud in his ear, Nathaniel frowns seeing Alexandra sitting next to him, staring intently at him.

"You look like a mess"

"What are you doing here?"

"You were thinking about me so I had to come"

"Get lost, get out of my head" He states

"Do you want that?" Alexandra smiles but it didn't reach her eyes.

"Just leave"

"Stop thinking about her and I will go and never return"

Nathaniel runs his hand through his hair, he wanted nothing more than for Alexandra to disappear but somewhere deep inside his heart, he wanted her to stay and so does his wolf. The mere sight of Alexandra awakens him causing him

to want nothing more than to strengthen their bond.

"Don't go, is not like you are that girl"

"Hey I'm a woman, not a girl"

Nathaniel smiles but it didn't reach his eyes. "Now you sound like her"

"We think alike and act alike"

"I know"

"Are you still mad at her?"

"I'm livid, truly disgusted that she was just toying with me, using me and I let her

but that's it, I'm done"

"Are you sure she did all that?"

"Yes"

"Alexandra isn't like that, your girl isn't like that"

"My girl" He chuckles "she would never want to be called that"

"She fancies it"

"I doubt, you're just saying this to make me feel better but I don't. I know that Alexandra used me"

"Is just a misunderstanding that you two had"

"She chooses to keep quiet and it hurts"noveldrama

"I know"

"She never really valued me"

"That's not true, she does"

"If she does, why wouldn't she want to come to my pack"

"Maybe she has her reasons"

"That she couldn't tell me" He gulps down his drink.

"Alexandra is complicated"

"Alexandra is just selfish, she doesn't care about me, maybe she never did"

"Her silence doesn't make her selfish"

"Her silence hurt me, it was belittling and made me angry. Whatever it was I wanted to be there for her and care for her as my mate but she didn't want that maybe because I'm not Adam Hawthorn"

"Will you quit saying that? She gets pissed off when you say that"

"Well her silence makes me think otherwise. Come to think of it, on the first day I met Adam, she embraced me to hurt him. She spoke about me to her pack just to hurt Olivia, she was been using me all along"

"I think you got it all wrong"

"No this time I got it right"

"Alexandra isn't that type of woman and deep down you know this"

"What I know is that my mate isn't what I thought she was"

"Stop drinking and go to her"

"And then what? Get hurt again"

"No. Talk"

"About what? Coming to my pack? Adam? Olivia or what?"

"No about you two. Talk about you two"

"There is no us, at least not anymore"

"Is that what you want?"

Nathaniel gazes at her in silence for a long brooding moment.

"Is that what you truly want Nathaniel?"

"Is not I that decided, Alexandra made that decision"

"I didn't hear her say so, her silence was all I heard"

"I waited for her to say something or at least chase me but she didn't instead she just stood there watching"

"She was crying"

Nathaniel laughs hysterically he was certain he didn't see her shed any tears.

"When because I didn't see a drop on her cheek"

"She was crying in her heart"

Nathaniel scoffs almost ridiculously.

"She did cry in her heart, your words did hurt her. You regretted everything including your kiss"

A smile creeps on Nathaniel's face, he had not expected to bring their kiss, although he had kissed her while being unable to control the aphrodisiac, Nathaniel couldn't stop thinking about that day, he could still remember the taste of her lips as he explored the corners of her mouth, deepening the kiss and exploring further.

"The kiss"

"Do you know how that made her feel?"

"Hurt, angry"

"Sad. You just talked about the kiss on your way back to Guerrero's pack, you

made her express how she felt and now you regretted it"

"Stop making me feel guilty, Alexandra hurt me"

"And so did you. The both of you hurt each other"

"So in essence, you want me to apologize"

"No, you are a grown man and an Alpha so you know what's good for you"

"I'm not going to apologize to her, she should be the one apologizing to me and

she hasn't, no calls nor text from her"

"What about you, what changes if you make the first move?"

"I will look like a fool and she will want to use me again"

"She never used you, stop saying that she toyed with you. I'm sure that deep

down you know the answers you are looking for"

"I'm not still apologizing, that girl doesn't love to make the first move. How arrogant"

Alexandra smiles. "You know her better since she's your mate"

Nathaniel runs his hand through his hair, without a doubt he wanted her to still be

his mate but Alexandra always had a way of making things difficult.

"Is she mate?" He gulps down the whiskey staring into space.
