The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2731

He closed the door. After making sure that there was no one around, Theo came over to me and said, "I kept sensing that we're being watched."

Being watched?

I was shocked and looked out the window, a chill coursing through my chest.

My expression changed slightly. Thinking of Gareth, whose silhouette just flashed past us just now, my emotions were even more of a complete mess. Dazed, I sat down, practically clueless. "Who would want to spy on us at this time?" "We probably shouldn't have seen that but we did."

"Could it have been deliberate? But what would be their purpose?" I was little confused.

Theo did not seem to have a clue about what was going on yet. "The enemy is hidden while we're in the open. It won't be easy for us to run an investigation."

"That person wants to connect with Gareth, he also knows us." A name flashed in my head. "If you think about it, it could only be someone from the Yards. Could it be Sylvester?"

Theo shook his head after a moment. "They didn't look too familiar. It's no big deal even if Sylvester and Gareth had some relationship, unless..."

"Silas," I whispered.

"Yes," Theo affirmed.

"It's strange that he's still so worried about me despite being abroad." I bit my lip. It felt off but at the same time, there seemed to be something about it that made sense.

Theo was also thinking. The two of us were quiet for a long time as we stood facing each other.

A wave of unease welled up in my heart.

My eyes widened and I gripped the back of Theo's hand. "Wouldn't it make sense Silas was trying to take Gareth away because he doesn't want me to go to Gareth and ask him about what happened back then?"

Theo slowly had a realization. "He knows Gareth Zeke is John Lovere and that you're John's child. If you were to go look for Gareth, he would definitely tell you the truth and there would be no need for you to go to him instead to find out what happened back then. This means whatever he told you had not been true."

We came to a conclusion in the end.

"Yes, this is the only thing that

makes sense.

If he wants me to believe what he said, he must make Gareth disappear. So, Gareth is in danger!" I felt a shiver run through me looked at Theo warily. "Shall we call the police?"

Theo raised his hand gently. "This is only our guess. We don't have evidence, how can we contact the police? This might even tell them we suspect something."

I was a little worried about Gareth's

situation. Theo obviously noticed

this and patted my shoulder to

comfort me. "Don't worry

think Silas will so easily make

move on Gareth. Gareth is also not an easy target. He couldn't possibly be completely defenseless."

I gradually regained my composure at Theo's words.

"Then, we need to confirm whether Silas is abroad now."This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

If he was, then who was controlling everything here?

"Exactly. I'll get someone to look into this. It seems that Silas doesn't even believe Sylvester now."

My brows furrowed. Everything seemed to be getting more and more complicated. "If he doesn't even believe in Sylvester, is our plan still going to work?"

"Yes. Our plan has nothing to do with whether Silas is abroad or not. It'll work as long as he's not in the country. Considering how Silas did things back then, Sylvester will be able to win people's hearts sooner or later."

Right. Silas's lack of kindness had probably already turned the staff of Yard Group away from him. He probably only had a few old friends from back then supporting him now.

"I'll go over to Sylvester's and sound out his intentions. We don't want him doing something else behind our backs."

"Alright." Theo nodded in reply.
