Chapter 37
Agatha POV
I sat on the sofa while holding my chest, fortunately Ethan didn’t stiffen anymore and left. I didn’t know he was going to be here now and I wouldn’t be surprised how he found out where I lived because I knew he has a lot of connections.
Soon my phone rang and I saw it was Macrus calling so I answered it immediately.
“Why?” I asked him.
“Where are you?”
“In the condo, why?” I answered him.
“Can you open the door? I’ve been knocking for how many times already.”
I was surprised because I didn’t even hear him knocking. “Okay, wait a minute.” and I dropped his call.
When I opened the door, the irritated face of my boss appeared on me.
“Are you that deaf that you haven’t heard that I’ve been calling your name? I thought no one was here.”
“I’m in the room so I didn’t hear you” I said.
“Whatever.”
“Why are you here?” I asked him.
He raised an eyebrow at me. “I didn’t know that I am not allowed to visit you here.”
“I didn’t say that. I’m just asking, you know.” I said and laughed.
“I just went somewhere near here so I decided to go here. And before I forget to tell you Mr. Hernandez has already signed a contract.”
“That’s good news! More people will invest in us once they find out that news?” I said.
“Exactly! You know many investors trust Hernandez Company and they’re one of the top in the business.”
I could see in Marcus’s eyes how happy he was. I am very indebted to Montreal because without them I would not have achieved what I have now, because of the choice and trust he has given me I can say that I have achieved something.
“Have you eaten?” I asked him.
He shook his head.
“Alright! Stay there and I’ll cook.” I said.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
Also about 30 minutes before I finished cooking, I checked the time and it was already eight o’clock in the evening. When I finished arranging the table, I called Marcus so we could eat.
“You are really good at cooking Agatha, no doubt.”
“Of course, I learned it from my mom.” I said proudly.
The two of us started eating, while we were talking about something my phone rang but I ignored it because I was more busy eating, but didn’t want to stop whoever was calling me.
“You should answer it.” Marcus suddenly said.
“Don’t mind it.” I answered him.
“It looks like the caller has no intention of stopping so you better answer that first so that there is no disturbance to your food.” he laughed.
I stared at him and didn’t listen to what he was saying. I didn’t know who would call me at this time because I was not expecting any call.
While I was eating Marcus stood up so I could look at him, he walked over to me and took the phone out of my bag.
“The call ended but there is a message here. I’ll read it. ”
I just shrugged and continued eating and let him read whoever was texting.
“Agatha better talk to him.”
I first ate what was in my spoon and looked at him. “Who?” I asked.
“Ethan.”
I raised my eyebrow. So Ethan was the caller. “And why would I do that? We have nothing to talk about. ” I said seriously.
“He wants to talk to you, he is waiting for you.”
“Marcus I don’t remember that we need to talk this evening so let him wait. It’s not my fault.” I insisted.
“But you know in yourself that he will be waiting for you.”
“Just let him, ” I seriously promise.
“Don’t be unfair to him Agatha, you know he’s been waiting for you for a long time.”
“But-” I was about to speak but he cut off whatever I was going to say.
“Listen to what he wants to say, give him a chance,”
“I don’t want him to give him false hope again, what if I need to go somewhere and leave him? I already hurt him before and I don’t want to hurt him again. ” I honestly said.
He sighed and returned to his seat. “Let’s eat and then go to him because he’s at the bar.”
I didn’t do anything because I knew Marcus wouldn’t stop me if I didn’t leave here and talk to Ethan.
After we ate, Marcus presented that he would be the one to clean up and while I would go and talk to Ethan, he even threatened me that he might take back the investment. I know Ethan and I know he won’t do that thing because when it comes to business, he’s serious and professional.
I just went to the bedroom and dressed in simple clothes, then I went out and sat on the sofa because it looked like Marcus hadn’t finished cleaning.
“Oh why are you still here?”
I raised an eyebrow at him. “Are you evicting me from my condo?” I asked him.
He laughed. “I didn’t say anything like that, I’m just pushing you away because someone is waiting for you.”
“You know I don’t need to go and talk to him, in the first place I didn’t agree to meet him.” I said.
“Just go.”
“What else can I do? I know you won’t stop if I don’t talk to him. I’m leaving now don’t forget to lock the door when you leave. ” I said and stood up.
When I came down from the building, I immediately took a taxi to go to the place that Marcus said.
