Unforgiven Sins

Chapter 34: The Secret’s of Cinyla’s Mother

Cinyla’s POV

I noticed that mommy often left, sometimes even late to tell. But I won’t think about it first, I need to fix things first, especially the problem I’m facing while he’s gone. I know he is safe now.

I am currently in the room. I also called someone who will install CCTV outside so that I can at least know who he really is.

While I was also fixing my room, my cell phone rang. I stopped cleaning and quickly took the cell phone from the table and answered it.

“Hello?”

“Cinyla, my daughter, I’ll be home tomorrow at noon time. Take care okay? I’ll just bring you some food.” It reminds me of being in a noisy place.

I raised an eyebrow because if he was at grandma’s house, it would be quiet there because it was just the two of them. “Where are you, mommy?” I walked out of my room because my signal seemed to be getting weaker.

“Alright Cinyla, goodbye!” She suddenly hangs up. I stopped and thought, I’m going to text mommy but I noticed that my cell phone is only 2 percent. I didn’t do anything but go back into the room and charge.

I don’t want to keep it a secret from Cinyla, but it’s necessary and I did all this for her, and our family. “Son, have you said goodbye to Cinyla? How long are you going to hide what you know? My grandson is poor, but there is no secret that cannot be revealed. Remember, he will know and he will know that too.”

My heart almost beat faster and I felt sad when my mother said those things. I know this too will be revealed in time. If it ever comes up, I’ll make sure I’m ready to explain it to him.

I only gave a forced smile to Mother, I knew she was just worried about me, especially Cinyla. I can’t blame him either because I’ve known the truth for a long time but here I always make excuses and just go with the flow.

I better finish what I’m doing, shopping. I’m currently here at the mall and there are a lot of people because I bought things for Mother’s needs in the new house where she is staying. I just sighed after seeing the red mug I saw. It’s medium size and unexpectedly I saw someone very close to my heart.

“Hi! How are you? I know it’s too long since to see each other. How is my niece? I heard she’s grown up and a young woman, are you alone?” Diego asked my late husband’s brothers one after another.

“Hello, Diego! You’re here too. Yes, she’s okay, she’s just at home now. Actually, my mother is with me. Anyway, I’ll go first and take care of you and your wife.” I’m in a hurry. But he just smiled and spoke.

“Until now, that’s what you thought, anyway, I don’t have a wife or girlfriend after what happened before. Don’t worry Talia, I am happy. I just went here to have groceries and shopping alone, take care, aunty. God bless! ” He waved and pushed the cart he was holding.

I was able to breathe well and suddenly Mother came with a biscuit. He put it on the cart we were carrying. “Come on, Talia. Buy a welcome gift for my grandson. We need to get home and I’m tired of walking here.”

I just nodded and followed what he said. I don’t want to reveal to Mother that Diego and I met. I don’t want to think about what happened or what relationship we had before. It was a long time ago and I forgot about it.

We went straight to the cashier and stood in line. It’s a good thing that Mother and I were third in line because if it was long, my companion might have gotten bored.  While we were waiting, Mother spoke.

“Are you okay? Are you constantly looking around, is there a problem, Talia?”

I swallowed at Mother’s question, I didn’t think she would notice me looking around.

I faced Mother and answered her. “Sure, no problem. Go ahead, Mother, go ahead of us in line, we’ll be next.” Fortunately, the cashier called us and I didn’t have to explain. Parents feel really strong.

It ended and a few minutes later we were back home. First I helped Mother get to her room and brought her drinking water.

“Shopping is really tiring, thank you son for taking care.” He smiled and took the water I reached for.

“There’s nothing, Mother. You can rest and I’ll be in the kitchen first to prepare the necessary things. I’ll just wake you up when we’re about to eat dinner.”

I returned to the kitchen, and sit on the chair for a while. I’m not ready, I don’t even know what to do when the time comes for the truth to come out. Not yet. Father and son will never meet again.

******************************************

The line suddenly cut off and I don’t understand why mommy’s place seems to be so noisy. I just put my cell phone aside, I also thought that maybe he and grandma were shopping for things at the mall.

“Ma’am, I’m almost done with it. Where should I put the last one?” asked the man I had CCTV outside the house and inside as well. He is Mang Kanor, we have known him for a long time here in the subdivision who does technical issues, or even at home he can do it.

“No Mang Kanor, you can just call me Cinyla. Catch it here in my room and can it be here in the living room? He has three cameras.” I asked while looking around to see if I was talking about the right angle.

“Alright, Cinyla, that’s fine. I’m just used to being called that by everyone who hires me. Alright, no problem. What happened and you thought of putting cameras outside and inside your house?”

I was still holding my breath because I didn’t know how to share the events here with Mang Kanor.

“It’s a long story, Mang Kanor. Above all, it’s good, right? At least, everything is safe, and I know what’s really going on if something goes wrong.” I explained as I placed the food on the table.

“Just eat and drink after you’re done. I’ll just take care of someone upstairs. You’ll get together in the living room first and then have a snack.” I smiled and he just nodded. He took his equipment and thought about where to place the small camera.

I just asked him to be simple and normal when he entered our house. I also want to be quiet and don’t want to be stressed about that secret person! It’s been a few months since I’ve been quiet and suddenly he’ll start feeling again. I thought it was gone, but not yet. I went straight to the room to fix and set up the laptop, as well as the phone needed to connect the CCTV’s.

Until I thought about whether it was better to go to my room or mommy’s room. So while I was thinking about my final decision, I went out and went to mommy’s room.

I hadn’t even made it inside yet when I heard a noise downstairs. I couldn’t do anything but hurry because the bad guy might have entered us. Poor Mang Kanor.

“Man Kanor? Man Kanor!” I shouted as I walked down the stairs. Until I saw that Mang Kanor was on the floor. I rushed to help her and saw a man who I don’t know why he was there.

“W-what is that old man doing here?” he asked with a serious face.

“Sir? You’re the one I should ask about that, why are you here in my house and why did you punch him? He’s Mang Kanor, okay? He’s here because I told him to and he’s the one who installed the cameras.”

I stand up slowly and still supported Mang Kanor. Fortunately, he was not punched too hard. “Are you okay, Mang Kanor? Please forgive that one. That’s my boss, he’s just too overprotective.” I apologized because Mang Kanor didn’t want to think about it. The old man grinned as if he was planning to annoy us.

“I’m fine, Cinyla. But, your boss punched really hard.” Sir BenChua scratched his head because of what Mang Kanor said. He is always in a hurry. I looked at Sir BenChua badly.

“Alright, I’m sorry. Rest here in the living room. I’ll just talk to my boss.” I tried to give a smile but now I feel really ashamed.

Mang Kanor nodded as if he agreed with what I said.

I immediately approached my boss and pulled his hand to the kitchen.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

“Hey, where are we going?” he asks consciously.

I didn’t speak until we got to the dining area next to the kitchen.

“Why are you here? Besides, why are you suddenly punching?” I opened my eyes to him seriously and looked him eye to eye.

He bowed and his eyes became clumsy. Shems! He is especially handsome!

“S-sorry… I didn’t know that you still knew me. I was worried about you and you had no clue. I came here because I am totally worried about you, then I saw that old guy who I thought was a thief. ” This explanation seemed to break my heart. He did have a point, I also left the gate open like that.

We were currently standing like a married couple having a deep conversation.

I don’t know what to say because of his explanation.

I took a deep breath before responding to what he said.

“I’m sorry sir, but I hope you don’t punch me right away. It’s a good thing Mang Kanor didn’t get too much. By the way, I’m fine, I just chose to install cameras in the house for our safety. Especially I’m not happy with what’s been happening lately.

He looked at me and seemed to have many questions playing in his mind, also based on the change in his aura.

“What happened?” He held my hand and his eyes seemed to be round because of so much worry.

My heart beat faster as if there were horses racing inside it. It sped up even faster when he looked me in the eye.

“Oh, I am so sorry…” He let go and looked around until he thought of sitting down first.

“Can we sit down first? Besides, what really happened to you? Is there something you’re feeling?”

We both stopped when we heard mommy’s scream.
