Chapter 0037
Ingrid’s heart was beating loudly. She took a deep breath before following Hansel inside.
She already knew the mansion was huge and bright, but this was still her first time inside after all.
The architecture was very modern, and the color scheme mostly consisted of neutrals. It looked low–key, but the finer details gave away how luxurious it was.
Ingrid had taken a class on art appreciation in her sophomore year. She recognized the painting on the wall as one of Alessandro Verdi’s renowned works. The decorations all over the mansion weren’t cheap, either. Even the inconspicuous trash can in the corner had the “LV” logo.
Crossing the living room, she saw a delicately maintained indoor garden. Next to it were a home theater and a gym. A set of golf clubs lay in the corner.
Apparently, this mansion came with its own golf course.
She pinched herself. Before she’d met Hansel, the most expensive thing she’d seen was one of her classmates‘ limited edition Hermès crocodile leather Kelly bag that cost six figures on the second hand market. T
hat was enough to buy a three–bedroom home in her hometown!
Meanwhile, the “H” logo that was out of her reach was plastered everywhere here. It was on keychains, poker cards, and lighters…
If she could stay with Hansel forever, get married to him and have his children, would she be able to have all of this? A huge mansion, luxury bags, a personal driver, as well
as household staff…
Hansel didn’t notice that Ingrid was distracted.
The pumpkin soup was too thick. He only had a taste of it before setting his spoon
down.
Ingrid blinked in puzzlement. “Why did you stop eating? Is it bad?”
“I ate after getting off work, so I’m not really hungry right now. I’ll have more later,” Hansel replied.
“Alright. If you’d told me it tasted bad, I would’ve been so sad.” Ingrid cupped her cheeks, her eyes shining. “It’s my first time cooking, so please bear with me.”
Hansel caressed her head affectionately. “Didn’t you have class today? Where did you find the time to make the soup?”

She thought about her encounter with Miranda earlier, and her gaze flickered.
She changed the subject by saying “According to the news, there have been meteor showers recently. Why don’t we go see one together?”
Hansel hummed noncommittally. He didn’t look impatient, but his irritation showed in the way he unconsciously loosened his tie There’s a lot of fake news floating around these days Let’s talk about it another time.”
Ingrid knew better than to bring it up again.
it’s getting late. Hansel stood. “Til take you back to the college.”
Ingrid bit her lip. Thinking about how she’d purposely gone back to the dorm to change into a low–cut dress this afternoon, she held onto Hansel’s arm and brushed her breasts
against it.
“Are you in such a hurry to see me go?” she said lightly.
Her teasing tone, coupled with her innocent smile, made her seem as delectable as a piece of candy. Even the air seemed to carry a hint of sweetness.
Hansel smiled slightly. “I have poor self–control. I wouldn’t dare keep you.”
“Is there anything else you wouldn’t dare to do?” Ingrid gazed up at him, innocence and seduction synergizing perfectly within her.
“Of course.” Hansel smiled tightly.
“Hans, actually, I- She wanted to say that she didn’t have class the next day and could stay behind to keep him company.
However, Hansel didn’t let her finish. He picked up his car keys and said, “Let’s go. It’s getting late. The resident assistant is going to give you a hard time again.
Ingrid stuck out her tongue and followed him. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
At the door, she suddenly stopped. “Hans, you say there are things you wouldn’t dare to do. Let me ask you again–would you or wouldn’t you dare do it?”
