Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1572

Different from the past, the servile voice came. Wyatt's rage flared. "If you have something to say, say it!"

So much nonsense!

"I got the luggage back. Thank you for your help yesterday! I've just returned and brought your mother a little gift. We haven't seen each other for a long time, so shall we have dinner together tonight?"

It was better if she could visit his house!

"My men are always at home. You can give the gift to my mother if you want to! Raynee, as for what happened yesterday, anyone else will do the same. There's no need for a meal together since my girlfriend will be displeased!"

"What? Girlfriend?"

With a scream, Raynee's attitude changed dramatically.

"Wyatt, since when did you have a girlfriend? What about me? Didn't we agree that we can't start another relationship for a year? How could you go back on your words? How could you do this?"

Raynee gnashed her teeth in anger, overwhelmed with emotions. "You promised me!"

"I did promise you, but why don't you ask yourself what you've done! Raynee, I promised to give you the time to accept the fact, not for you to make use of this time to interfere with my life and try to break us up! Don't tell me that your friends and Jazzie are bored, so they're keeping an eye on me every day to stand up for you, not forgetting Quill!"

He didn't give Waverly the right to claim herself as his girlfriend. Was it for Raynee to grasp the chance to take her away from him?

If not for that d*mn one-year- promise or those who stirred trouble, how could she decide to throw herself into Jake's arms out of disappointment? How could he and Waverly have ended up in their current state? As the thought flashed through his mind, Wyatt's face darkened.

"I don't want to talk about the past. So be it if I go back on my words! In short, you remember that we've broken up. I have a girlfriend! Raynee, it's good for everyone if we can break up in peace. Don't play tricks on me. It won't do you any good if things turn hostile!"

"So, are you threatening me?"

Frowning, Raynee couldn't believe her ears. "Are you afraid that I'll pester you?'

He was the one who used to pester her!

"It's best if you won't!"

Raynee choked with anger with her face flushed red upon hearing the five words. No matter how much she wanted to retort or smash the phone, she couldn't bring herself to say the words "Who cares to do so!".

The current Raynee was no longer the proud woman she used to be, whom he loved deeply!

She was 28 years old, and her career was...

Recalling her wretched state, right then, she was like a deflated ball with no confidence at all.

She had wanted to return to the country with glory, but she had never expected that after years of hard work, it would end in such a down-and-out way. If she returned home, she had no idea how she should deal with the bunch of tattletales and busybodies.

If their relationship were to end...

Closing her eyes, Raynee's world turned dark in an instant. Before she could react, a cold voice rang in her ear.

"If there's nothing else, I'll hang up!"

"Alas..."

Before she could say anything, she received the beeping of a hung- up phone call in response.

Wyatt hung up the phone and was stunned for three seconds. Deep down, he had never wanted to act so cruelly, but what she had done disappointed him!

Plus Quill, who knew if she was the one who had ordered him to come and steal his woman from his side?

Quill must be obsessed with Raynee to be able to do anything out of the ordinary! Not sure whether he should comment on Quill as being infatuated or silly, the key point was that Raynee had never accepted him from the beginning to the end!

Every time he thought about it, Wyatt felt troubled!

What absurd request did he agree to? Not only had he not admitted to having a girlfriend, but he had also left an opportunity for others to steal her away from him. Had he been out of his mind?

He looked up in annoyance and checked the time. Seeing how the watch was about to be sent over, he couldn't wait, so he gave Waverly a call.

"Sorry, the number you've dialed is unavailable. Please call again later. Sorry..."

Wyatt made two calls with none of them answered. With a smirk, he had no choice but to lock the phone. She wouldn't pick up the phone? It seemed that he wouldn't have to think about talking to her if he did not go knocking on her door.

She must be suppressing her anger. It was certainly not an easy task to ease her anger!

Sigh...

"You reap what you sow. Who told you to make such a mistake?"

Muttering to himself, he had no choice but to hold it in. It seemed that she must

have learned about the situation over at Abel's side!

With his brows furrowed into a

frown and seeing that it was about

time, Wyatt recovered some of

energy and did not continue

sleeping. Casually scrolling through

his phone, he first handled

simple affairs before tapping on the

news.

"A Self-Protection Technique: A Young Woman Was Attacked in the Middle of thenoveldrama

Night, Crying and Sympathizing with the Thief"

With a closer look, he sprung up from the sofa. Wasn't that... Waverly?"

When he tapped on the news article, Wyatt's eyeballs almost dropped from their sockets. Was it on the night before? She had been followed and robbed on the way, so she had been sent to the police station and had been injured?

Judging from the time, it should not be long before he had come to her door.

In other words, it was most probably when she had separated from her father the night before...

It was no wonder that he hadn't

been able to find her in the hotel or

at her home! It was no wonder that she had arrived home so late! He

returned to the airport, so she should have arrived home earlier

than him according to the distance

between her mansion and the

airport!

Back then, had she just returned home from the police station? Had she gone

through a robbery alone?

Why hadn't she said anything about it?

D*mn it!

What had he been doing?

If she hadn't been smart enough, he wouldn't have dared to imagine what would

have happened the previous night!

Was he to regret it for the rest of his life?

She had been alone in dark surroundings, dealing with such a tall and tough man that held a knife?

As soon as he lowered his head, his eyes fell on a photo with obvious flashing spots. The more he looked at it, the more shocked he grew. A knife?

Was she hurt?

She was indeed injured!

Where was she hurt?

Why hadn't he seen it?

Was her bad complexion the previous night not a result of her anger? Was it because she had lost too much blood?

After reading the piece of news, Wyatt's face paled. Waverly? Would something have happened to her?

Wyatt panicked, and his steps were a mess. When he turned around, he saw a staff member holding a tray and looking at him with caution in her eyes. There was shattered glass on the floor that emitted the strong aroma of coffee.

"Mr. Johnson...?"

Right then, another shop assistant hurried over and rolled her eyes at

the woman on one side before

pushing her a step back, saying, "Mr. Johnson, the watch is here. Would you like to take a look at it? would you like me to directly wrap it up for you?"

As he walked out, he dialed Seth's number. Wyatt ordered, "Bring it here! Quick!"

After changing the watch, Wyatt left in a hurry. He got in the car and went straight to Stormy Accounting Firm...
