Chapter 1678
Wyatt had just rushed to the door, but before he could open the door, a series of noises and familiar voices could be heard.
"I'm fine! I know my body very well!"
"I want to leave the hospital! I'm leaving now! I have something very important to do. Immediately, right now..."
"Don't stop me!"
With a slight frown, Wyatt paused. "Is that Raynee?" he wondered.
She opened the door abruptly. When he wanted to confirm which direction to head in, he saw a familiar figure disappear around the corner in the pursuit of a nurse.
"It's her?"
Although interrupted, Wyatt didn't think much about it. He subconsciously turned next door. When he looked around, he found that there was only one room next to the door on the left. At this time, the door was open, and there were traces of gray flowing lines at the door. Needless to say, this was probably left by two people who had just been struggling here not long ago.
"Doesn't that mean that Raynee came out of this room? What about Waverly? Are they in the same ward?"
Wyatt turned around and rushed into the room. He looked up and saw that the huge room was empty. There was a bed and a sofa in the room. The furniture was very high quality, but there was only one bed.
All of a sudden, Wyatt's eyes widened and a cold sweat broke out in his palm.
Before he could react, the nurse behind him spoke first, "Sir, who are you looking for? The patient insisted on checking out and has left!"
Turning around, he saw a nurse standing at the door with something in her hand.
Before he could speak, the nurse in charge of him had already caught up with him. Wyatt stretched out his hand and pointed at the bed behind him. "Are you referring to this ward? How many patients are there in this room?"
"Huh?"
The two nurses were obviously confused by his question. This was a VIP area. Although it wasn't a particularly large room, it was very well-furnished. Each person had their own room here. Furthermore, there was only one bed. Why would Wyatt ask such a question?
Looking at each other, they began to doubt whether there was something wrong with his brain. Finally, the nurse who was holding something spoke.
"What are you talking about? This ward only has one patient."
She had just stated that the patient checked out already.
Wyatt felt like his ears were ringing as his face turned pale. "One? Only one!"
That would mean that Raynee was the patient.
What about Waverly?
Reaching out, he grabbed the shoulder of the nurse nearest to him and pinched it hard. "What about Waverly? If Raynee was checked in here, then where is Waverly?"
He was clearly very emotional. The nurse winced under the firmness of his grip. She dropped what she was holding onto the floor. "Ouch..."
At this point, the other nurse reached out in an attempt to help. "Sir, let's calm down. Let go of her. We can talk it out."
Situations went out of control at hospitals all the time. The two of them remained calm. The nurse being gripped did not struggle in fear that it would aggravate Wyatt more. On the other hand, the second nurse was trying to calm him down. However, fear, anxiety, and confusion were not enough to describe Wyatt's heart right now.
"Who brought me here last night? How many patients were sent in? How many women? Where are the girls that came with me? How many of us were there?"
Wyatt's eyes began to glow green as he roared.
Being scared out of her wits, the nurse quickly said, "Two, we don't know! We don't know who sent you here! There were only two people who were sent in with you that had drowned."
Two?
Wyatt's puzzled eyes flooded with relief briefly.
However, the
the other nurse chimed in
and said, "Yes, just you two, a man and a woman! The lady said she had something urgent to deal with and she had to go, so she left. I think she mentioned something about looking for someone to explain... Ldon't
really know either."
The young nurse stared at the ground in confusion. She had no idea but every word she spoke was cutting right into Wyatt's heart. His facial expression turned ugly.
"Two of us? One male and one female?"
How could there only be one woman?
Holding the young nurse's shoulder, he suddenly shook it hard. "How could there be only one? What about Waverly? Where is Waverly? Who pulled me up? Who?"
"Which rascal saved me? They should have saved her. Why didn't they save Waverly?"
"What about Waverly?"
The memories from the night before flooded into his mind, turning his mind into a mess. He narrowed his eyes and couldn't believe it. "How could this be? She can swim! She definitely could..."
It was not that he didn't want to save
her, but he only had two hands. He could only choose to save one person first before saving the other. At that time, Raynee was closer to him. Whether in terms of physical strength or the situation, he couldn't abandon her. But he never thought about abandoning Waverly. There were three people that had fallen into the water. Why was Waverly the only one that was missing?
His Waverly...
Thinking that something might have happened to her because of him, Wyatt wasnoveldrama
in so much pain that he wanted to die. He grabbed his hair, clenched his teeth,
but still couldn't help but fall to the ground, and burst into tears.
Had something really happened to her?
Could it be that she was...
Despair, regret, incomparable guilt, and fear filled his heart. His shattered willpower made him fall to the ground. The startling force of him hitting the floor made the two nurses couldn't help but shrink.
"Will he break his knees? That sounds painful."
As soon as Seth and Trevor stepped out of the elevator, they knew something was wrong. They rushed over and shouted, "Wyatt!"
"Wyat!"
They tried to pull him up from his both sides, but they couldn't lift him no matter how hard they tried.
"Wyatt, what's wrong with you? Are you not feeling well?" "Wyatt, I'll call a doctor for you!" Eventually, they dragged him to a nearby sofa. Just as Seth turned around, Wyatt suddenly grabbed his hand. Who putted me up from the water? Why
did they save me? Why me?"
If he was with Waverly, at least he would have an answer whether they were dead
or alive.
The night before, he hadn't even gotten the chance to reach out to her nor say a
single word.
He had personally let go of the woman he loved. What was the point of continuing
his life alone?
How did it get to this point?
If one of the three of them had to die, he would much rather it be him.
Covering his face, Wyatt kept hitting his palm regretfully. He just wanted to end his
life. "Why didn't I just reach out my hand?" he kept thinking.
What do you think?
