Sarah's eyes landed on the man by the door. He looked a bit weak and tired but still undeniably handsome. His outfit had no logos, yet it carried a vibe of sophistication that hinted at his status.

To everyone's shock, Sarah's expression changed in an instant. Her face lit up with a bright smile as she rushed toward Zedrick.

"Hello, sir. I'm Sarah," she said sweetly. Just a moment ago, she had been screaming. Now, she was sweet and gentle.

Amelia found Simon and Sarah ridiculous. She couldn't understand how they switched their attitudes so quickly just to benefit themselves.

Zedrick's expression was icy as he said, "You didn't think I let you stay here to keep you as my mistress, did you?"

Sarah's smile froze. "Then why-"

Zedrick tilted his chin toward Amelia. "She's the one I like."

Sarah couldn't believe that a rich guy like him was interested in Amelia.

"You're kidding," Sarah said, disbelief dripping from her voice. "She's sick, and she's awful. She dated my brother and hid her illness from him. She's not a good woman!"

Zedrick couldn't stand women like Sarah, who were hypocritical and full of double standards.

He scoffed, his tone dripping with disdain. "You think you're so pure and good, but you insult her right to her face? She dated your brother, and this is how you treat her? You're just a gossipmonger."

His words stung.

Sarah's face paled with rage. "You really don't like me?" Her dream of becoming a rich man's wife shattered in an instant. A surge of jealousy washed over her. How had Amelia gotten so lucky? What made her deserve someone like Zedrick?

"Even if she's sick, you don't mind? She has AIDS!" Sarah pressed, refusing to believe that her few days of living a luxurious life had ended so fast.

Zedrick merely glanced at Amelia, completely ignoring Sarah's questions. Amelia took a deep breath. "Come on, it's your turn to wait on me now." Sarah was stunned. "Who do you think you're ordering around?" "You, obviously," Amelia said.

"W-Why would I wait on you?" Sarah stammered, her voice thick with disbelief.

"My driver told me you applied for a job through a recruitment agency and even signed a contract. Now, you come here and act like the boss? That's just ridiculous," Zedrick said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Sarah's mind flashed back to that day. Helena had kicked her out, leaving her desperate for work. She stumbled into a recruitment agency and was fortunate enough to land a high-paying job. Even if it was just housekeeping, the pay was good enough for her to swallow her pride.

But her excitement didn't last long. As soon as she stepped out of the agency, a strange man approached her, claiming he was there to take her to her new job. Naturally, she assumed he meant the position she had just secured.

When she arrived at the luxury villa, there were no instructions waiting for her. The man simply told her to stay put for a few days until the boss came to see her.

His politeness, combined with the grandeur of the villa, led her to believe that someone admired here beauty and wanted to keep her as a mistress. The thought that this was actually the job she had applied for never crossed her mind again.

For a brief moment, she truly believed her luck had turned and that everythingnoveldrama

was finally going her way. Little did she know, the reality was far different.

The maids had treated Sarah like a guest, unaware she was there to

work. She never thought to question it either. They had been told a guest was coming, and when Sarah arrived, they assumed she was the one. Little did they know how wrong they were.

Now that the truth was out, they realized Sarah wasn't a guest; she was just another maid. The three maids turned to her, their glares sharp with resentment.
