Chapter 864 Madison Fell Down the Stairs
Grace grabbed her wrist. She had tolerated Madison for a long time. The scheming of that family had allowed Madison to grow up in the Reynolds family in her place.
And she stayed in that family. If they hadn't schemed against her at every turn, they could have been considered good foster parents.
But after the truth was revealed, not only did they not repent, but they became even more aggressive. Madison felt no shame at all and instead pretended to be humble and submissive. Over the years, she often spoke ill of her in front of Taylor.
Taylor wouldn't go as far as to disown Grace and insist on Madison's wrongdoings, but Madison, having grown up under her care, was closer to her than her biological daughter.
In her actions, Taylor often favored Madison.
Grace felt wronged but didn't want to beg for Taylor's favor, so she endured it and managed to get through these three years.
"I've tolerated you for a long time. Don't push your luck," Grace said, shaking off her hand and walking downstairs with a look of disgust.
Madison was deeply provoked by the contempt and disdain in Grace's eyes. She glared at Grace's back, her resentment reaching its peak.
It was all because of Grace. If it weren't for her, she would still be the young lady of the Reynolds family and wouldn't have to look at others' faces.
Why was Alva so merciful back then? Why didn't they eliminate the problem by killing Grace?
Since they had already done it, why did they keep Grace around? If Grace weren't in this world, no one would ever know she wasn't the biological child of the Reynolds family.
Madison looked at Grace's back and, as if possessed, reached out her hand towards her.
Grace was walking downstairs when she suddenly felt a chill behind her, as if sensing danger. She quickly moved aside.
The next second, something fell beside her and rolled down the stairs, ending up in front of the triplets, who had just entered the door, with a head injury and bleeding profusely.
The kids were terrified.
They stared blankly at the blood-covered Madison, her eyes wide open and her face covered in blood, looking extremely frightening.
Suddenly, a loud cry rang out, followed by a second and a third.
Theodore quickly turned the kids around and covered their eyes, "Don't be afraid, I'm here. Don't be afraid. Riley, call an ambulance."
The people in the living room snapped out of their shock and saw Madison lying on the ground in a twisted and eerie position. Taylor rushed over in a flash.
She knelt in front of her, too panicked to touch her, "Madison, Madison, why are you bleeding so much? Does it hurt?"
Madison's whole body was convulsing in pain, tears rolling down her face. She looked helplessly at Taylor, unable to say a word due to the pain.
Grace was still standing on the stairs, lost in thought. Even though she knew Madison hated her, she never thought Madison would try to harm her.
If she hadn't moved quickly, the one lying in a pool of blood would have been her.
Taylor, too panicked to touch Madison, looked up at Grace standing stiffly on the stairs. She had been focused on the triplets earlier and didn't know what had happened on the stairs.
However, the look in her eyes at that moment made Grace feel very uncomfortable. The ambulance arrived quickly, and the medical staff placed Madison on a stretcher and swiftly carried her out, leaving a trail of blood.
Taylor hurriedly followed them out. As she passed by Theodore, she saw Hubert, Boris, Noomi, and Ethan still crying loudly, clearly very scared.
She paused and said, "Theodore, comfort the children. Seeing this scene will give them nightmares."
Theodore's face was grim, "You go with the ambulance. I'll settle them down and then come over."
Taylor glanced back at Grace before quickly following them out.
Soon, the sound of the ambulance siren echoed outside the villa, growing fainter and fainter.
Riley directed the servants to clean up the bloodstains thoroughly, while Theodore took the children out of the villa and headed towards the lake.
Brandon was fishing by the lake and had just caught a fish. He quickly reeled it in and pulled out a lively fish.
The children's attention was immediately drawn to him. They ran over eagerly and watched as Brandon took the fish off the hook and put it into a bucket.
"You're amazing," Boris said.
Hubert, Boris, and Noomi lined up around the bucket, watching the fish swim around. They looked at Brandon with admiration.
Brandon knew Theodore was bringing the kids to the estate. Last night, Taylor had returned from Lakeview Estates, excited all night, keeping him up.
She kept saying how well Phoebe had taught the triplets, how much they resembled Phoebe, and how obedient and sensible they were.
He had heard it so much that his ears were ringing. He wanted to remind her that no matter how good they were, they had nothing to do with the Reynolds family.noveldrama
But seeing Taylor so excited, he knew that if he said that, it would ruin her mood, and he would be the one to suffer.
At that moment, seeing Boris looking at him with admiration, he unexpectedly enjoyed it and smiled, "What's your name?"
"Boris."
"Hubert."

"Noomi."
"I'm Ethan," Ethan said softly, not as loudly as Hubert, Boris, and Noomi, nervously picking at his fingers.
Brandon smiled kindly, "You have lovely names. Who gave them to you?"
"Mom did," the four children said in unison, their tone full of pride.
Brandon looked up at Theodore, who said, "Madison fell down the stairs just now and
was taken to the hospital. The children were frightened, so I brought them here to
play."
Brandon had heard the ambulance earlier but was too focused on fishing to pay much attention, "How did Madison fall down the stairs?"
Theodore recalled the incident and frowned, "Probably by accident."
"She's a grown woman. How can she be so careless?" Brandon frowned, seeing the children looking at him timidly, he quickly softened his expression.
Brandon used to spoil Madison a lot. The more he spoiled her, the more disappointed he was when he found out she wasn't his biological daughter.
No wonder Madison was nothing like her two older brothers, who were smart and studious. He always thought they had spoiled her into being unambitious. Later, he found out she wasn't even his child.
So, for the past two years, he had been enduring Madison's temper, treating her as just another mouth to feed. The Reynolds family could afford to support one more unambitious person.
Theodore said lightly, "She might have slipped."
Brandon glanced at him, sensing he was downplaying the situation, and asked, "Is she seriously injured?"
"Quite serious, she lost a lot of blood. Dad, please watch the children for me. I'm going to the hospital. Mom went alone, and I'm worried," Theodore said.
Brandon looked at the four children, knowing it would be inconvenient to take them to the hospital, so he nodded, "Go ahead, I'll watch them."
