His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode

Chapter 1016

Sir was a heartless madman. His charm and sophistication were merely a facade.

Deception, though despicable, was a way to protect her. With Evadne's fiery spirit, she could easily cause a disaster of epic proportions, consequences she couldn't possibly bear.

"There's one thing I'm sure of," Avery said, taking a deep breath, a bitter smile curling his lips. "The medication Thaddeus took, it's not lethal, nor will it harm his body."

"Otherwise, he wouldn't have suggested that you take it too."

"Me?!" Evadne's eyes widened, her face paling.

"Sir wouldn't harm you, so the drug he intended for you isn't deadly. But he mentioned the process would be excruciating."

Avery's gaze fell, his handcuffed hands trembling slightly, as if holding back a torrent of emotions.

No further explanation was needed.

Evadne understood it all.

"Your Sir suggested giving the drug to me. He didn't specify what it was, but he must have told you what it would do, right?"

"He said it would make you... forever mine," Avery's voice broke, hoarse and fragmented.

"Ha... I see."

Evadne realized there was nothing more to glean from this encounter, nor did she wish to face him any longer. She stood coldly, "I'm leaving, Avery. I can't bring myself to tell you to take care, because you know I despise you. Yet, while you're

in here, I hope you live well enough to face your judgment day."

As she turned to leave, Avery suddenly rose, tears brimming in his eyes:

"Evadne! I'm sorry!"

Evadne paused, her back to him, but she didn't turn around.

"I've tried everything to be with you because only with you do I feel like the oldnoveldrama

Avery isn't dead. That his heart still beats, that he's still alive."

Avery's hand reached out, as if to brush against her retreating figure, his

overwhelming sorrow and regret erupting into tears, "You are the most beautiful

butterfly I've seen since falling into the abyss."

But the tragedy was-

Once you start falling, it's impossible to stop.

The classic movie line, uttered now by Avery, was soaked with the mournful realization of his mistakes.

Evadne's slender shoulders trembled slightly; she said nothing and disappeared without looking back.

Avery's once proud posture

Evadne, I know you'll never choose me, not even in another life.

So, I no longer hope for reincarnation or the next life.

Outside the detention center, the cold wind cut through, seeping into Evadne's aching chest.

"Avery is hopeless, beyond redemption!" Jason clenched his fists, his eyes full of anger.

"He truly doesn't know what the drug is."

Evadne lifted her head to the clear sky, but her chest felt tight, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "This time, I believe him."

"But he refuses to reveal Sir's identity, still holding something back. He's not giving up!"

Evadne seemed to understand his unspoken thoughts, but she refused to acknowledge them, simply shaking her head:

"At least we know the drug won't harm Thaddeus. That's enough for now. The rest is up to Chasel's

ent and waiting for Thaddeus

to wake up."

Before she could finish, her phone rang.

Seeing the caller ID was her granddad's aide, Mr. Murray, her heart skipped a beat as she answered:

"Murray!"

Mr. Murray's voice was filled with concern, "Ms. Evadne, are you in Elmsworth?"

"Yes, is something wrong with Grandpa?!"

"Mr. Frederic heard about Mr.

Thaddeus's injury and subsequent coma. The shock was too much, he

ended up in the hospital. But the worst is over, and he's been moved

to a regular room."

Evadne's heart ached, her hand clutching her chest as she struggled to stay on her feet.

Thankfully, Jason steadied her, preventing her fall.

"Just now, Mr. Frederic was asking for you, wanting to see you. If you can, could you come to the hospital?"
