His Ex wife is a billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) Novel Full Episode

Chapter 1017

Evadne didn't waste a second, rushing to the hospital with Jason by her side.

On the way, Jason couldn't help but notice how pale she looked. His voice was filled with concern as he said, "Miss Evadne, you should really take a break. Your own health isn't fully recovered yet, and running around all night is going to take its toll on you!"

Ever since they returned, he had stopped calling her "President Ashbourne" formally, but in his anxiety, he reverted back to calling her "Miss Evadne."

"I'm fine, really. I'm just worried about Grandpa." Evadne closed her tear-filled eyes, feeling a sharp pain in her heart as guilt washed over her.

Her grandfather's condition was a result of his distress over her younger brother, Thaddeus, who was still unconscious and seriously injured.

And the person responsible for Thaddeus ending up this way was none other than her, the granddaughter who was always doted on by Grandpa Frederic.

When they finally reached the hospital, Evadne's suit was soaked with sweat, her legs felt like jelly, as if she were walking on clouds.noveldrama

Outside the hospital room, Mr. Murray was already waiting for them.

"Murray, I'm so sorry I'm late," Evadne said, her voice choked with emotion as her eyes filled with tears.

"As long as you're here, it's never too late. Please, go ahead," Mr. Murray said, stepping aside to let her pass. Evadne, who was usually so confident and fearless, hesitated at the door, feeling too ashamed to enter.

"Out of all the grandchildren, besides Mr. Thaddeus, you're the one Mr. Frederic loves the most," Mr. Murray said gently, seeing through her hesitation. "Go on, Ms. Evadne, Mr. Frederic has been waiting for you."

As she stepped into the room, the soft morning light bathed her grandfather, who lay weakly against the pillows, half-awake.

"Grandpa." Evadne whispered guiltily, approaching the bedside.

Hamilton opened his tired eyes, a flicker of joy crossing his face as he reached

out a frail hand to her. "Evadne, you're here! I knew you've always been the most caring."

Evadne thought she had her emotions under control. Yet with just one tender sentence from her grandfather, her composure shattered. She stood by his bedside, sobbing like a child who had done something wrong.

"Grandpa, I'm so sorry. It's all my fault."

"Sweet child, knew you'd say that as soon as you got here," Hamilton said, holding her cold, slender hand gently. Seeing how much weight she had lost broke his heart. "I've never blamed you. Remember, no matter what happens, you'll always be my beloved grandchild.

I just didn't want you to be tormented by guilt, to exhaust yourself with worry, that's why I had Murray get in touch with you."

Evadne's face was streaked with tears, a sight that could break anyone's heart.

"My dear, do you know what Grandpa fears the most?" Hamilton sighed deeply. "I'm afraid that if Thaddeus doesn't wake up, what will you do then?

Your family is all back in Ashbourne. Your brothers... they'll eventually marry, have their own families, their own lives to worry about.

If Thaddeus doesn't come back to

us who will be there to protect you, to be by your side? I know how much you love my grandson, you two would do anything for each other But if, just if, Thaddeus never wakes up."

"Grandpa, please don't scare yourself. Thaddeus will wake up, he has to! Evadne said, wiping away her tears with determination. If it takes a day, I'll wait a day. If it takes a lifetime, I'll wait a lifetime!"

"But what good are all these noble words when things are already like this?"
