The Queens
“Thanks for being by me” I appreciated.
“You’re loved, my dear.”
As I was going to place one stick in my mouth, someone appeared with a warning shout. The person appeared to be a female stranger.
“Don’t taste a bite, do and die!” The stranger warned.
“Clara, who’s that?”
“The one who you are mated to…. The lesbian beast!”
“Oh, that’s Diana?” I asked.
“Yes, it’s Diana, The Queen Of The Sea!” Diana exclaimed, she was the noisemaker.
“Why were you making noise, bitch?” Clara questioned her angrily.
“I should be asking you that, wretchee!”
“Will you cringe now before I turn to something else?!”
“I never cringe, as strong as I am, you can as well ask your ex how hard I dealt with him! He’s here to tell you the story!” Diana blabbered.
“You’re rude and will be punished for that!” Clara promised and left.
The food was no longer sweet in my mouth until I decided to eat. After all, I was so hungry. So, I munched everything at once, as it hanged in my lower lips. I now looked like a clown or a ghost white. I laughed at myself as I managed to check the mirror Clar bought for me on my birthday.
The fright that overwhelmed me was because of the sudden appearance of that lesbian beast – Diana. Because, I wasn’t the type that got scared that easily. In fact, when my father died, I never cried. Every other member of our family wept like a baby.
My phone rang.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
It was Clara’s phone number I saw on it. So, took the call.
“Hello, baby.”
“Hello, Herdy!”
“What’s the problem, dear?”
“Nothing than for you to just come and meet me at the bar….”
“What bar?” I cut in.
“Elyon Bar in Kugisi.”
“Okay, I’ll be there right away”
“Till then, love you, baby.”
“Love you too, Clara Novellong.” I said, as I cut the call mistakenly. Anyways, I hope she had heard that surname I mentioned – Novellong. She never knew I was aware her father was the one called that name.
So, my phone rang the second time.
“Hi, I’ll be there soon, sweetie.”
“I know, but you called me some name, didn’t you?”
“Oh, no!”
“Well, you said Clara Novellong, didn’t you?” She asked again.
“When I get to you, we’ll talk, I guess the network here is under demonic control….”
“Hahaha” she laughed and hanged up.
Diana was still with me, looking at the way I was deliberately eating and talking childishly. She was the one I was now using to engage myself. As if I was seeing a video, I looked at the way she too was looking at me. I remembered my sister, Dera.
Dera was a very beautiful woman in her young age. As funny as she was, she never loved to be despised. She would start staring at everyone jokingly, with the aim of insulting them with sarcasm.
Moderno Dera was her full name.
So, in some minutes, I reached Kugisi. I ambled round there to check on her but I didn’t find her. Did she say Kugisi or Kagesi? There was also a place she often visited that was called the latter.
“Hello, where are you?” I called and questioned.
“I’m in Kagesi… Didn’t I tell you?” She retorted.
“Oh, Kagesi?”
“Did you think I am in Kugisi? Can’t you remember people have been banned from moving there, for now until the global war ends?”
“Sorry, I never knew.”
“It’s okay, I’m at the tailoring shop now, where you met Alliana dancing with Cobertino.”
“Cobertino?”
“Talk later, baby, I love you… Muahh.” She said, as she hanged up. Certainly, she wouldn’t let me fathom what I heard I say; the name she mentioned was partially a mistake, on her side. Clara knew I wouldn’t like to hear anything about Alliana or Diana, since I met her.
“Oh, my babe mentioned Cobertino….” I thought.
Cobertino was a multitalented and white tycoon from Ghyvine, in the southern part of Durra. He was the richest young man there, for years before Vherroy, the Disk Jockey travelled down all the way from Pendon. Cobertino and Vherroy were the cynosure of crowds, on millions of occasions. But, it was clear that Cobertino was still richer, and the richest in all Durra .
The girl he crushed on was also Vherroy’s. This caused series of disagreement between both of them to the extent that, they discontinued their friendship and repaid whatever they owed themselves, in monetary value and the services they had earlier done gratis, for themselves. Clara must not know anything about this story I was mulling over. Because, the issue had to do with my two exes: Alliana and Diana and she wouldn’t let them snatch me back, to themselves. It was reported to me that, they had both planned to dupe me soon.
Well, I was less concerned about their scheme.
As popular as Cobertino was, he never was proud of whatever he had or wherever he might have gone to. He wooed Alliana at a tailor’s shop after her dance, for him. Imagine such a person, as my friend – he actually was. It was announced to me that, it was Cobertino that changed the lives of many people in Morrasta, including that Alliana, Diana, Jenna, Peninna, Scabbiana, Hanna, Wondering and others like that. One thing that always made me laugh about this section of his story was the suffix these girls’ names were carrying. Why on earth were they bearing names with “-na?” How come?
Those names were lovely to hear and even pronounce; I remembered that I often called Hanna on phone, whenever I was bored – which was very common – common than I was engaged with something so interesting and mind-blowing.
Hanna’s memory quickly came to mind, without a prior feeling. I never really had something to do with her, then and now.
Hanna was a jovial and very strong person; she was always ready to make friends and help anyone with her strength. It was said that, she would always increase in strength, the more she saved someone from a dangerous situation.
Hanna picked up a talk with me one afternoon, which made me know some secrets about what would befall Manelda, if the Queen of the Sea wouldn’t agree to possess powers from fire and water; she explained:
“There could be someone who will save the Manelda World, if we actually know who the person or agent is – it could be a woman, from what I have been seeing in my dreams.”
