Chapter 100
Chapter 100:.
Justin’s expression was serious and icy as he spoke.
There was an unfathomable gleam in his deep, bottomless eyes, and the beauty mark in the corner of his eye gave off an icy aura.
Farrell was surprised by her reaction. He stammered, “Didn’t Mr. Hunt say so?”
Was Nora Smith lying?
In the midst of his thoughts, Justin said slowly, “The authorities haven’t announced any national policy yet, so why would I spread rumors like that? You think too much of me, Mr. Wood.”
He was just a simple businessman; how would he be able to predict future economic trends so clearly?
It was then that Farrell realized he had said the wrong thing.
What the higher-ups feared most was that traders would be able to determine economic trends. Justin had been restrained in his actions and behavior all these years, so how could he say such things when national policies had not yet been announced?
What was wrong with him today? He had come all the way to the man himself to set the record straight after hearing an ambiguous statement.
He immediately stood up and said, “I’m sorry, I…”.
Before he could finish, however, Justin’s icy stare gradually faded and he said calmly, “Don’t worry, Mr. Wood. I believe the relevant policies will be announced in a few days, probably less than a week.”
Farrell, “!!!”
He stared at Justin in astonishment – so he was admitting it?
Although Farrell managed to maintain a serious expression as he left the Hunt Corporation, deep down, he was terribly moved. Mr. Hunt was actually willing to tell Miss Smith such important news?
What kind of relationship did the two share?
No matter what it was, however, he had to treat Miss Smith with more courtesy in the future. Of course, she also wasn’t to let the news spread for the time being, she mustn’t tell anyone!

Above.
Pete, who had just finished a Math Olympiad worksheet, turned and saw the tyrant leaning carelessly in a chair. He had a smile on his face, and his eyes were almost curved into slits.
Pete curved his lip.
He really couldn’t stand to look at that father of his any longer.
At that moment, Justin was holding his cell phone and texting Nora, “Mr. Wood just left my office, Ms. Smith. Do you owe me another meal now?”
She responded immediately after he sent the message: ‘Bring your son. You can decide the time and place.’
The corners of Justin’s lips curved into a smile. Suddenly he asked, “Pete, do you want to eat at an Italian restaurant?”
Pete hated Italian cuisine the most, so, without even thinking about it, he immediately replied, “…. No, I don’t want to.”
“Oh.”
Justin found a random Italian restaurant, sent the location to Nora, and then said, “I have a dinner date at an Italian restaurant tonight. Since you don’t like the food there, I won’t take you.”
Pete, who was completely unaware that he had fallen into someone’s trap, nodded earnestly. “All right.”
Since the tyrant discovered that the house tutors were abusing him, he had turned down a lot of work and lately he was spending more time with him.
It was okay even if he did socialize from time to time.
Pete sighed and looked at his cell phone. When he realized Cherry had sent him a message, he put on his headphones and hit the play button. “The Math Olympiad problems are really hard, Pete, can you save Cherry tonight, please?”noveldrama
Pete, “…”
He was so smart and shrewd, he could master anything right away, so why was his little sister so bad at her studies?
The little boy sighed and responded to her message. The five-year-old already knew how to spell, so she wrote, “Take a picture of your homework and send it to me. I’ll do it for you.”
“Thanks, Pete! I’ll send you the homework when I get home after kindergarten. I also have to do a live broadcast, so I’m super busy, yeah~”
“…”
Nora and Justin’s dinner date was at six o’clock in the evening.
Around five o’clock, Nora heard the car. It was probably Tanya coming back with Cherry.
With that in mind, she pushed open the door and left her room. As soon as she got downstairs, however, she saw Miranda come in angrily. She shouted, “Melissa, get in here!”
Melissa was preparing dinner in the kitchen. As she came out, she untied her apron and handed it to the babysitter. She was a little surprised to see Miranda. She asked, “Miranda? What are you doing here?”
Miranda stepped forward, pointed her finger at her and shouted angrily, “What the hell did you say to Farrell? In fact, he’s decided not to invest anymore! Don’t stop us from making money just because you’re pretentious enough to act like you’re above money! Is it because you don’t want the Woods to do well?”
Melissa frowned. The kind woman’s expression had already darkened. She raised her voice slightly and said, “That’s enough, Miranda! Farrell must have his reasons for not investing anymore.”
Miranda had a loose tongue and couldn’t help but tell everyone everything, so they must not find out the crucial information Justin had revealed.
However, his words upset Miranda.
Farrell had decided not to invest in real estate anymore after his return from the Andersons. The $30 million the family had prepared went back into the company without further ado.
When she asked him for a reason, her husband’s response was also “I have my reasons that I can’t talk about. In any case, we are not going to invest any more, so don’t ask any more about it.”
‘Don’t ask any more questions’… Why did she have to be kept out of it?
The siblings had hardly met for so many years, yet they behaved like this whenever they did. They both had a secret she didn’t know about.
The more Miranda thought about it, the angrier she became. She shouted, “You’re a troublemaker and bad luck! The Andersons fell into decline right after you married into the family. You must be wishing the Woods would fall into decadence too, right?”.
Well, let me tell you this: the Woods are run by your brother, so he has the final say, but that’s not the case with the Sonnets! Even if the Woods fall into decline, I’ll still be looking down my nose at you when my family gets rich!”.
The Woods might not want the opportunity, but the Sonnets did! His older brother had already raised funds to invest right away!
When the Sonnets struck gold, she could hold her head high in front of Farrell and show him how stupid her sister’s suggestion was.
Melissa clenched her fists and looked at Miranda in disbelief. The glint of malice in her eyes had not gone unnoticed by her.
She used to think that her sister-in-law just had some sort of misunderstanding with her, but at that moment she realized quite clearly that Miranda had never considered her family.
If that was so, why bother putting up with her attitude?
Melissa pointed to the door and ordered, “You’re not welcome here, Miranda! Get out!”
Miranda continued to rant. “I’m not welcome here, do you think I want to come to a crappy place like this?”.
Melissa was a cultured person, so she couldn’t help but get even angrier at her words.
She was about to say something when Nora, who was standing on the stairs, asked coolly, “Aunt Miranda, is green the Sonnets’ favorite color?”
Miranda was taken aback. “What do you mean?”
Nora’s lips curved into a smile. “Because green is the only thing your family cares about.”
“You…!”
The aristocrats and nobles disliked it the most when people said that money was the only thing that mattered to them. Miranda was so furious that she suddenly slapped Melissa across the cheek. “Look at the wild child you’ve brought home! How dare she say such things to her elders.”
No one expected Miranda to become violent. Melissa held her cheek and looked at her in disbelief. “You…”
Miranda, however, lifted her chin and said with extreme arrogance, “What, I’m your older brother’s wife. So what if I hit you, you dare retaliate?”
But unexpectedly, she had just said that when ….
