The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Hearing that familiar line, a memory of Nathaniel runs through her mind and she quickly pushes it off.

"Don't you believe in love?"

"Why do you believe in love?" Alexandra shoots sharply trying to form the right words to say.

"I believe in true love"

"What's the difference?" Alexandra leans against her seat.

"There is a difference, true love is sweet and special, every day of your life you want to see that person, who is not selfish nor wicked, and most importantly is a pure love that gives you peace of mind. True love is like finding and falling for your true mate"

"You sound like an expert"

"I'm not just want to be like my parents, they are so in love, I envy them"

Alexandra smiles, unsure of what tomorrow holds for her and Nathaniel and if they would ever be together.

"What about you?"

"What about me?"

"Do you believe in true love Alexandra?"

Running her hand through her hair, Alexandra gawks at her, love was a delicate part of her life that she didn't like talking about. And although she had once believed such fallacy to be true, Adam had turned her love into a joke, a little boy's words to his naive little girl.

"Do you Alexandra"

"Love makes you weak"

"So you don't believe in love"

"I didn't say that" Alexandra states as memories of Nathaniel flood her mind and she tries pushing it away but couldn't.

Deep down she was sure she wasn't in love with Nathaniel, only sees him as his mate, and he showed her another side of love and care, something Adam never showed her while they were together.

"What then is it?"

"Love is beautiful when you find the right person"

"When you find the right person" The pack members state, nodding affirmatively. "Have you found the right person?"

Observing her intently, Alexandra couldn't imagine why she would throw such a question at her.

"The right person"

"Yes have you found him?"

"Isn't our mate supposed to be the right person"

"In most cases, yes, and in others no" The girl whispers

"How?"

"Think about this some mate betray their mates and others even cheat and reject them so most time, the right person may not be our mate"

"You look young yet you know a lot about love"

The girl blushes. "I dream about love all the time and watch movies and even my parents talk about it all the time"

Alexandra chuckles, she couldn't imagine sitting to watch a romantic movie. In the past, she had grown fond of reading those books with hopes of being the perfect woman for Adam but he betrayed her, shattering her hope of ever believing in love and that hope would have been dead if Nathaniel didn't show up like her knight and shinning armor seeking to save her even if it was against her will.

"Is Nathaniel your right person?"

"Why are you asking?"

"Because... because the pack members have talked about it"

Alexandra scoffs, unfazed. "Of course, they will, what did they say this time"

"Some are scared for you since we have heard stories about him. I heard he doesn't laugh and kills anyone that would dare defy him. Others said no one calls him by his name without including his title; Alpha"

Biting on her lower lips, Alexandra wished Nathaniel was here hearing all these, she was certain he would keep a stoic expression.

"You people make him seem like a tyrant"

"Is not us, the guards love to bring stories whenever they hang out with other guards"

"And lemme guess Nathaniel is the topic of discussion"

"Everyone knows him, he's quite popular and not to mention handsome"

Alexandra clears her throat, without a doubt that other girls in her pack may have eyes on Nathaniel.

"Are they crushing on him?"

"What?" The pack members' eyes widened

"Are they crushing on him too?"

"I don't think so but even if they were, I doubt anyone would want to admit it"

"Here's what I can tell you. Don't believe everything you hear, Alpha Nathaniel isn't that bad and he's not a tyrant. He's just like every other Alpha who wants to protect his pack and position"

The girl smiles, and her cheeks redden. "He's the right person"

Alexandra raises her brow. "What?"

"The way you speak of him is how a woman speaks of her man who she holds dear and can't wait to see him"

Alexandra burst into laughter. "Those crazy story books are getting to your head, tell me which one did you read last"

"Princess in a castle"

"Stop reading fictitious love stories or you will get deceived. Love isn't like that at all"

"Have you been heartbroken? You sound like you have been"

"No, I haven't, just experienced and careful not to get carried away and then hurt

at the end. Love is good when you find the right person but don't destroy it with fictitious imagination that would never happen"

"It will happen" The girl blushes, biting her lower lips.

"You sound so confident"

"Of course, I talk to the moon every night and even scold my wolf to howl to the right person"

Alexandra gawks at her unbelievably, she would never have imagined anyone scolding their wolf to find the right mate.noveldrama

The girl chuckles. "I will get my dream mate and then I will come and meet you Alpha Alexandra and tell you this is my man, my fantasy has turned reality"

"I will be rooting for you"

The girl laughs, glancing at the wall clock realizes how quickly time has gone by, and stands up. "This feels much better"

"What does?"

"Spending time with you, we should do this more often"

Without uttering a word, Alexandra stands up.

"This is much better than going to the restaurant but I'm still owing you lunch, take care Alexandra" The girl walks towards the entrance door, and Alexandra trails

behind.

Turning around she leans towards Alexandra's ear whispering. "Even if you don't become the next Alpha, I won't stop calling you my Alpha"

Alexandra opens her mouth to say something but the female pack member was already out the door.
